Well there are numerous assumption people must be making about the ending of this movie & still thinking about it ‘Wheather Tyler is still alive or not' ?

Here’s what I think what happened in the end :

If you recognise starting scene where Chris Hemsworth dive into ocean and sits beneath , holding breath.Where he was kind of practicing to hold breath for as long as he can.

And if you recognise when he was shooted with gun on side of his neck .He wasn't shooted on head so there is no way to tell that he died on scene.We didn't saw him dying, we just saw him being lossing consciousness and then he fell into the water .why directors didn't show him dying onto the bridge or any last scene of his body ,when the hole movie was focused on him.Answer to this is ‘Just because he was alive'.We already know that Chris was able to hold his breath inside water for long time.

Also in the last scene clearly saw that the boy heard someones voice , when he was in the pool.Right in the next scene we saw someone standing , right beside the swimming pool .Who was clearly Chris Hemsworth.With that body structure anyone can tell that was Chris.

So yes chris Hemsworth was alive in the movie.
