Okay, so I got this phone at 13999/- (6GB/64GB) variant on 20th of Feb, and before I start writing my review, let me just give a background of kind of user I am.
I love Nokia Phones. From C2 to Lumia 530 to 5.1 Plus, it’s been all Nokia. I love stock android, and I just hate Chinese phones. This time I went for a change and here’s what I’ve got to say about this popular phone named Redmi Note 8 Pro.

SPEED
The device is SUPER FAST. I am seriously amazed by the speed of this device. Be it booting up, opening apps, RAM management, downloading and installing apps, network reception or anything else, the processor and the memory works seriously amazing. I’ve heard that Mi Phones are fast, I now believe it. In terms of Speed of this phone, it’s a ten on ten. No doubts about it. So if you’re looking for performance, go for it. You will be more than satisfied. Thumbs Up!
DISPLAY
It is not an AMOLED display, but has a big size. In terms of screen quality, I will not call it bad. But I still feel that my Nokia 5.1 Plus had a better screen than this. Now I am not comparing on the basis of resolution or numbers, but in terms of color output, Nokia 5.1 Plus is much better. But the fact that I have spent five thousand more on this one and didn’t get a screen as good as my older phone doesn’t impress me much.
However, if I don’t compare it with my older phone, it is still a great screen. The size, the viewing angles, and the basics are very good. However, the color output could still have been better. So, the verdict on screen is that it is not at all a bad screen, but it will not make you go wow.
DESIGN
Personally, the design of the phone matters a lot to me. I like the classic black color, but I bought a gamma green this time. I don’t like bulky and too large phones, I still went for this one.
Now talking about the phone itself, I’d say, for a screen that is 6.5 inches large, with a 4500 mAh battery, and at a price point where you can’t ask for much, it’s a nice design. I didn’t like the color much, but again, that is a personal choice.
Again, the design is not something that will make you go wow, but it’s still a nice phone to hold in hand. It does good enough for the screen size and the battery it has.
BATTERY
I watched a lot of reviews about the battery and all the Indian Users seemed super impressed by the battery of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Well, personally, I am not impressed by their views.
I am not a very heavy user, I use launchers, have 4 email accounts synced all the time, mobile data is always on, keep on chatting, have hotspot turned on all the time and the battery lasts 24 hours. Again, it’s not bad but isn’t as impressive as those YouTubers say. Again, it does well enough for its price.
CAMERA
No complaints. No complaints at all. It’s a beautiful camera. Personally, I am not into clicking a lot of pictures, and for a normal user, it is going to work very fine. Even for advanced users with a lower budget, it would work pretty fine. No issues with the camera.
SOUND
Sound Quality, in all aspects, is good. Speaker’s performance during calls is amazing, though loudspeaker could have been a bit louder. Music output on the main speaker is excellent. And I personally loved the output on Bluetooth earphones too. (The same earphones didn’t deliver that good experience on 5.1 plus, but the give super rich quality on Redmi Note 8 Pro, don’t know how this happens).
Overall, No issues with sound quality.
OS
Now here comes the most important thing, and I’ll start by saying that I hate MIUI. Now why, because I love stock android. The icons, the absence of app drawer, the fonts, and the notification panel, all the things in MIUI are simply not the kind of one I love.
But, a great thing about Android in customization. So what I’ve done is that I am using Microsoft Launcher for the App Drawer, Pixel Icon Pack for Icons and an app called Power shade for Notification Panel.
But then, I have to applaud Xiaomi for providing useful tools like Dark Mode and a themes app where one can change the font and can get good wallpapers.
All in all, with all the tweaks that I did, I’ve finally made the phone work like I want it to be. And it’s working pretty fine. I love it.
FINAL VERDICT
The Redmi Note 8 Pro definitely scores around 9 out of 10 in all departments, except for the processor where I’d go for a perfect 10. Considering its price point, it is a GREAT phone. The value for money factor is huge. Undoubtedly the best phone at 14k.

You might not even realize it, but your car insurance company is probably overcharging you. In fact, they’re kind of counting on you not noticing. Luckily, this problem is easy to fix.
Don’t waste your time browsing insurance sites for a better deal. A company called Insurify shows you all your options at once — people who do this save up to $996 per year.

2. Ask This Company to Get a Big Chunk of Your Debt Forgiven
A company called National Debt Relief could convince your lenders to simply get rid of a big chunk of what you owe. No bankruptcy, no loans — you don’t even need to have good credit.
If you owe at least $10,000 in unsecured debt (credit card debt, personal loans, medical bills, etc.), National Debt Relief’s experts will build you a monthly payment plan. As your payments add up, they negotiate with your creditors to reduce the amount you owe. You then pay off the rest in a lump sum.
On average, you could become debt-free within 24 to 48 months. It takes less than a minute to sign up and see how much debt you could get rid of.
3. You Can Become a Real Estate Investor for as Little as $10
Take a look at some of the world’s wealthiest people. What do they have in common? Many invest in large private real estate deals. And here’s the thing: There’s no reason you can’t, too — for as little as $10.
An investment called the Fundrise Flagship Fund lets you get started in the world of real estate by giving you access to a low-cost, diversified portfolio of private real estate. The best part? You don’t have to be the landlord. The Flagship Fund does all the heavy lifting.
With an initial investment as low as $10, your money will be invested in the Fund, which already owns more than $1 billion worth of real estate around the country, from apartment complexes to the thriving housing rental market to larger last-mile e-commerce logistics centers.
Want to invest more? Many investors choose to invest $1,000 or more. This is a Fund that can fit any type of investor’s needs. Once invested, you can track your performance from your phone and watch as properties are acquired, improved, and operated. As properties generate cash flow, you could earn money through quarterly dividend payments. And over time, you could earn money off the potential appreciation of the properties.
So if you want to get started in the world of real-estate investing, it takes just a few minutes to sign up and create an account with the Fundrise Flagship Fund.
This is a paid advertisement. Carefully consider the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses of the Fundrise Real Estate Fund before investing. This and other information can be found in the Fund’s prospectus. Read them carefully before investing.
4. Earn Up to $50 this Month By Answering Survey Questions About the News — It’s Anonymous
The news is a heated subject these days. It’s hard not to have an opinion on it.
Good news: A website called YouGov will pay you up to $50 or more this month just to answer survey questions about politics, the economy, and other hot news topics.
Plus, it’s totally anonymous, so no one will judge you for that hot take.
When you take a quick survey (some are less than three minutes), you’ll earn points you can exchange for up to $50 in cash or gift cards to places like Walmart and Amazon. Plus, Penny Hoarder readers will get an extra 500 points for registering and another 1,000 points after completing their first survey.
It takes just a few minutes to sign up and take your first survey, and you’ll receive your points immediately.
5. Get Up to $300 Just for Setting Up Direct Deposit With This Account
If you bank at a traditional brick-and-mortar bank, your money probably isn’t growing much (c’mon, 0.40% is basically nothing).
But there’s good news: With SoFi Checking and Savings (member FDIC), you stand to gain up to a hefty 3.80% APY on savings when you set up a direct deposit or have $5,000 or more in Qualifying Deposits and 0.50% APY on checking balances — savings APY is 10 times more than the national average.
Right now, a direct deposit of at least $1K not only sets you up for higher returns but also brings you closer to earning up to a $300 welcome bonus (terms apply).
You can easily deposit checks via your phone’s camera, transfer funds, and get customer service via chat or phone call. There are no account fees, no monthly fees and no overdraft fees. And your money is FDIC insured (up to $3M of additional FDIC insurance through the SoFi Insured Deposit Program).

I once met a man who drove a modest Toyota Corolla, wore beat-up sneakers, and looked like he’d lived the same way for decades. I once met a man who drove a modest Toyota Corolla, wore beat-up sneakers, and looked like he’d lived the same way for decades. But what really caught my attention was when he casually mentioned he was retired at 45 with more money than he could ever spend. I couldn’t help but ask, “How did you do it?”
He smiled and said, “The secret to saving money is knowing where to look for the waste—and car insurance is one of the easiest places to start.”
He then walked me through a few strategies that I’d never thought of before. Here’s what I learned:
1. Make insurance companies fight for your business
Most people just stick with the same insurer year after year, but that’s what the companies are counting on. This guy used tools like Coverage.com to compare rates every time his policy came up for renewal. It only took him a few minutes, and he said he’d saved hundreds each year by letting insurers compete for his business.
Click here to try Coverage.com and see how much you could save today.
2. Take advantage of safe driver programs
He mentioned that some companies reward good drivers with significant discounts. By signing up for a program that tracked his driving habits for just a month, he qualified for a lower rate. “It’s like a test where you already know the answers,” he joked.
You can find a list of insurance companies offering safe driver discounts here and start saving on your next policy.
3. Bundle your policies
He bundled his auto insurance with his home insurance and saved big. “Most companies will give you a discount if you combine your policies with them. It’s easy money,” he explained. If you haven’t bundled yet, ask your insurer what discounts they offer—or look for new ones that do.
4. Drop coverage you don’t need
He also emphasized reassessing coverage every year. If your car isn’t worth much anymore, it might be time to drop collision or comprehensive coverage. “You shouldn’t be paying more to insure the car than it’s worth,” he said.
5. Look for hidden fees or overpriced add-ons
One of his final tips was to avoid extras like roadside assistance, which can often be purchased elsewhere for less. “It’s those little fees you don’t think about that add up,” he warned.
The Secret? Stop Overpaying
The real “secret” isn’t about cutting corners—it’s about being proactive. Car insurance companies are counting on you to stay complacent, but with tools like Coverage.com and a little effort, you can make sure you’re only paying for what you need—and saving hundreds in the process.
If you’re ready to start saving, take a moment to:
- Compare rates now on Coverage.com
- Check if you qualify for safe driver discounts
- Reevaluate your coverage today
Saving money on auto insurance doesn’t have to be complicated—you just have to know where to look. If you'd like to support my work, feel free to use the links in this post—they help me continue creating valuable content.

But when it comes to power efficiency or battery life Snapdragon 730g wins as it has smaller semiconductor size (8 nm) and more number of power efficient cores. The semiconductor size of MediaTek helio G90t is 12 nm. Now its upto you for what purpose do you want to buy a smartphone. Yet both are gaming processors both will work extremely well.
My personal recommendation is MediaTek helio G90t as its awesome. Because when it comes to redmi note 8 pro it has a big 4000mAh battery that last very long. Though the MediaTek helio G90t has less number of power efficient cores but they have AI battery technology. And above all MediaTek helio G90t has ARM designed cores which are considered best.

This time Xiaomi has gone with Mediatech Helio G90 T chipset. It's a very common question for any Redmi Note lover. Since the launch of Redmi Note 3 in 2016, Xiaomi used to put a snapdragon 6 series processor in it's redmi note series. 650 in note 3, 625 in note 4, 636 in note 5/6 pro, 675 in redmi note 7 pro.
But for this time, as the gaming smartphones are trending, Xiaomi has gone with Helio G90 T in which ‘‘G stands for Gaming.

*** Both the phone are good at there respective price point, but only thing is processor, we all are familiar with the Snapdragon processors and it runs a long mile rater than other processor, and the MediaTek is powerfull but not as Qualcomm. So its up to you which one you wanna trust and buy.

However, new info has surfaced and it reveals there will be a Snapdragon 730G version of the phone.
According to sources, the new Xiaomi phones with model numbers M1912G7BE and M1912G7BC that appeared on the database of China Communications Commission (3C) belong to the Redmi Note 8 Pro powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730G processor.
If confirmed, this should launch in December. The phone will support both standalone and non-standalone 5G networks. With respect to design, the Redmi K30 will have a display with a punch hole for dual cameras similar to the Galaxy S10+.
Redmi Note 12 Pro has been powered by a Mediatek Dimensity1080 SoC. This chipset has been launched by Mediatek in 2022, and the chipset has been gaining immense popularity for its ability to perform well in almost every domain, from camera to gaming and multimedia performance.
Thanks to the Imagiq ISP, the new Dimensity 1080 can handle image data from sensors up to 200MP. Here, hardware-accelerated HDR video with a maximum resolution of 4K is added. The camera quality of the processor is the best feature of the chipset in my opinion. The Redmi Note 12 Pro only has a 50MP camera, but the camera ISP does a fantastic job at providing detailed and sharp images.
The performance of this 5G chipset is somewhat improved by two 2.6GHz Cortex-A78 performance cores, if you compare it with earlier processors of the same segment. The gaming performance and efficiency both are handled well by the chipset.
The chipset is produced using the 6nm manufacturing process, and the Mali-G68 GPU is in use. The 6nm fabrication processor is ideal for this chipset, as it helps the processor achieve high levels of efficiency, and it also improves the frame rates. This fabrication process also gets rid of the lags and overheating issues.
In addition to continuing to support sub-6GHz 5G networks, Wi-Fi 6, and the same AI Processing Unit, Dimensity 1080 integrates HyperEngine 3.0. The connectivity features are very excellent.
This processor's display can have a resolution of up to 2520 x 1080 and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The display quality is better than most other chipsets in this price range. In addition to offering adequate game visuals, it boasts an Arm Mali-G68 MC4 GPU that can handle a variety of graphics-related tasks. Overall, I think Dimensity 1080 does a very good job at powering the smartphone.

Another thing required by the gaming phone is the processor and this phone comes with MediaTek Helio G90T, the fastest and powerful gaming chipset from MediaTek powering the phone really well. Surprisingly the processor is supported well by the 8GB RAM and you won’t believe that it comes with 128GB internal storage and can be expandable up to 256GB with the help of microSD. The phone is supported well by 4500mAh battery which comes with C-type fast charging.
This makes this phone best for the gaming and I know you might be thinking that this will be expensive but it is not, to be precise this phone is available under 20k.
Redmi Note 8 Pro is probably the most popular smartphone currently and if you want a good gaming smartphone in your budget, I think most of the people would suggest you to get Redmi Note 8 Pro.
But is the best gaming smartphone currently?
Well, as per me, Redmi Note 8 Pro is certainly better than the others and this is due to two reasons:
- MediaTek gaming chipset: Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by MediaTek Helio G90T processor which is the new gaming chipset by the brand, and it contains an octa-core architecture with a primary clock speed of 2.0GHz. Besides, the smartphone contains Mali-G76 MP4 GPU

- Very Affordable Price: Even with a specialized gaming chipset, Redmi Note 8 Pro starts at just 14,999 for 6GB + 64GB variant. Therefore, it is the most affordable gaming smartphone you can get, and this adds to the credibility of the smartphone.
Due to these reasons, Redmi Note 8 Pro is perhaps the best gaming smartphone that you can get without even breaking your bank. If you are looking to get it, I think there’s no more reasons for you to resist.

Yes, Redmi Note 8 Pro was the highest selling smartphone around the globe for the month of November 2019 and this stat is enough to know the kind of power and performance delivered by the new MediaTek gaming chipset.
MediaTek launched its Helio G90 gaming series chipsets in July 2019 and Xiaomi was the first brand to announce the arrival of smartphones with MediaTek gaming chipsets.
In between, there were a number of hues and cries by people on how the smartphone experiences heating. But eventually, the truth prevailed,...
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is a year old smartphone and still has a larger display, a powerful Mediatek Helio G90T chipset and a 64MP camera. The phone also comes with 18W fast charger.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has slightly larger screen compared to the Redmi Note 8 Pro and has a punch hole display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 720G chipset which has better CPU performance compared to the Mediatek Helio G90T but when it comes to gaming, the Mediatek Helio G90T holds the edge.
Coming to cameras, both have the 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW1 main camera and 8MP ultrawide camera, but the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has the faster 30W fast charging and slightly larger battery at 5020mAh battery over the 4500mAh battery of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. If fast charging and new design with good performance are your concerns, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is the better option of the two.
Redmi note 8 pro comes with Mali g76 GPU which is excellent for gaming but Helio G90T processor has some minor heating issue. Bro if really want to buy a gaming phone and you don't have any hurry then wait for Redmi note 8T it Snapdragon 730G processor.
MTK provides good processors with good performance but Snapdragon is known for its balance performance and long lasting life.

There are many excellent specifications of this smartphone, but the best part of this smartphone will be its camera which has been rumored to be packed with 50MP, 8MP, and 2MP rare cameras along with a selfie camera of 16MP wide with dual LED flash at its back, isn’t that just amazing?
The other specs of this smartphone are expected to be packed with quality efficient benefits which involve an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and an expected screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels with a protecting shield of Corning Gorilla Glass. When we are already talking about protection let me tell you this, the smartphone has been rumored to be protected from unwanted splash and dust.
This Redmi Note 12 Pro will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1080, packed with an octa-core CPU. This Android 12 smartphone will benefit users with dual slots for using dual sims, will have a good grasp over seamless connectivity, and will be delivered with a long-lasting battery life of 5000mAh, which let the user go along with their non-stop browsing and entertainment experience. I personally believe that this will be a good smartphone! What are your expectations from this smartphone?

The smartphone is ignited using the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset which has been built using the 6nm production architecture which supports optimized power usage which in turn increases the battery life of the device.
The chipset houses an octa-core CPU capable of achieving speeds up to 2.6GHz which brings exceptional performance and rapid response, altogether giving an edge over others. To support the Display, it has a refresh rate of 120Hz which encourages zero blurs, smoother scrolling, and clean & crisp picture quality.
For Cameras, the chipset supports capturing 4K videos in HDR streams and in any lighting conditions. The APU 3.0 engine encourages the bokeh feature which is ideal for vlogs and live streams
As the chipset has been built using the 6nm architecture, it gives the smartphone makers a leeway to build slimmer, more attractive, and lighter phones. Apart from the above, you get strengthened connectivity in terms of the internet, cellular, Bluetooth, and wi-fi.
If you are a gamer and are connected to one sim, you can accept calls on the other sim without losing the internet connectivity from the former one. This is called Call Concurrency. This feature is a kind of boon for many players as they tend to lose connectivity while playing.
Overall, the chipset is one of the advanced chipsets by MediaTek which has been smartly used by Xiaomi in Redmi Note 12 Pro which has and will continue to impress users and potential purchasers.

Considering the season of launch, processor used and past experiences with what those reviewers claim/write & what happens in real life; I can say that the phone do heats up (maybe alot).
Infact, you may found various reports of Redmi Note 8 Pro (China Variant) reaching the temperature of 50°C under stress tests. Although they are stress tests, so you may not face same temperature at all during your usage. But that also is a valuable input.
I have no doubt that in summer season in India (or probably from March onwards), it will show signs of overheating with light-medium gaming or simply browsing along with downloading in background.
Redmi Note 8 Pro is a gaming device. The phone seems to be used for more purposes of gaming and intense heating. The processor used in the device is quite powerful to which the phone heats, but it doesn’t overheat.

Which phone should I choose, the Redmi Note 8 Pro or the Redmi note 9 Pro Max?

In fact, Snapdragon 720G is not able to support gaming as good as you would have expected. Even at a higher cost, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max smartphone is not able to support the highest settings in PUBG, while it works well enough on Redmi Note 8 Pro with negligible lags. If you are a gamer, I would definitely suggest you to go for Redmi Note 8 Pro because it can offer you the best gaming experience in the mid-range segment and all because of the Mediatek gaming processor it has. If only you are a part-time gamer and want a good camera, Redmi Note 9 Pro max is suggestible. However, I still think the cost of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is way too high and the performance is not worth the cost. Realme X2 would be a much better alternative.
Differences between Note 8 and Note 8 Pro
- PROCESSOR (note 8 had Snapdragon 665 processor whereas note 8 pro had Mediatek G90T which is more powerful and even comparable to Snapdragon 730)
- Primary camera sensor ( note 8 had 48Mp Samsung Isocell GM2 sensor whereas Note 8 Pro had 64Mp Samsung Isocell GW1 sensor)
- Selfie cameras (note 8 had 13mp selfie camera and Note 8 pro had 20mp selfie camera) …………
So these are the major differences between note 8 and note 8 pro … note 8 pro is definitely the best mobile out there ! But if your budget is strictly limited , then Note 8 is better at thar price
According to my information, I have given a comparison between all these three below.
Realme 6 offers better overall performance and display compared to the Redmi Note 8 Pro with a more powerful processor and a smoother 90Hz refresh rate screen.
However, the Redmi Note 9 Pro strikes a good balance between the other two, offering decent performance and display at a more affordable price point. Choose Realme 6 for higher performance and display, Redmi Note 8 Pro for a budget-friendly option with respectable performance, or Redmi Note 9 Pro for a balanced choice between the two.
Yes, It’s very likely to have the latest gaming processor Helio G90T from MediaTek. It’s a rumor and when it it a rumor than it very likely to be true.
We’ll see when the phone will be launched. Expected to Launch on 29th August in India. As a smartphone fan, I’m very excited to see what it offers and at which price.
Thanks
