ha…ha… wait for this. It is a good one. I promise.

I was at restaurant in Los Angles. They did not have vegetarian items on the menu.

So, I ordered a simple pasta tossed in Olive oil with a pinch of salt. The waiter, thought my food was boring.

He suggested that I at least have it topped with truffles. Since he said it was vegetarian and is woody / rustic. (Sure why, not?)

After he suggested twice, I said okay.

Poor me, it was a $60.00 pasta. I could not say much at all. Because after seeing that bill, I googled “truffle”.

Since then I have been wanting to go dig for my own truffles.
