To be frank, 2IIM is one of the few, if not the only, institute out there that genuinely lives up to the meaning of “Educational institution” in its true sense. To elaborate, when I first walked in to enquire about the courses offered, unlike so many other institutes, their primary objective did not seem to be boasting about how many students from their institution have got 99+ percentile in the previous years. Rather, they simply explained what they actually offered, talked about the faculty and most importantly, they told me openly that my performance in CAT would ultimately depend on my own effort, which is the hardcore undeniable truth, that applies to all of us.

My point here is that, 2IIM provides you with the right tools, guidance and motivation coupled with fantastic faculty members whose goal is not to help their students to merely crack CAT, but rather to make sure they have a wholesome, morale boosting experience richly filled with quality education, while ultimately cracking CAT!

And I say all this after being part of the classroom program for CAT 2020 and I’m very happy I chose this institute. Attending Rajesh sir’s classes is something I genuinely recommend doing. His passionate approach to teaching accompanied by some quick wits, some really interesting off-topic digressions and a few well-timed wisecracks make his classes all the more enjoyable!

Coming to specifics regarding the contents of the classroom program that I enrolled in-

1. Structured course- The online course has tons of quality questions and more importantly, the course is well structured. Every topic starts with intuitive and simple problems that help you get a good grasp of the fundamentals and from thereon, the difficulty level gradually increases. There are checkpoints quizzes every once a while that really helps you to recollect and prepares you for the “Prep edge” quizzes which are extremely challenging and are on par (if not above par) with the CAT difficulty level. And this goes for all the three sections.
2. Plethora of questions- The number and variety of questions available within the course are more than enough to prepare yourself for the real deal.
3. Expansive Test and mock series- Apart from the questions in the learning module, there are two topic wise test series of increasing difficulty levels. Solving these questions goes a long way in cracking the actual CAT as it tests every aspect of any given topic and cannot be solved without solid fundamental knowledge. The mock series are also challenging to say the least and previous year actual CAT papers are also available.
4. “Lively” Online live classes- These are real bonus sessions that are perfect to revise topics and they also provide the opportunity to interact with the teachers and clarify doubts.
5. The Faculty- Any course is only as good as the faculty that offers it, and with Rajesh sir and Bharathwaj sir, it simply does not get any better than that! Dedicated people with genuine passion for teaching! Also worthy of a mention is Bharath’s curated reading list. Check it out yourself! It is truly amazing and immensely informative! (Not just in terms of CAT prep!)

I was part of the classroom program for a period of 6-7 months and I’m happy to say that I managed to secure a 97.99 percentile. It may not be of the highest order, but it is certainly one that I am genuinely content with, all things considered. Many thanks to Rajesh sir, Bharathwaj sir and all the other faculty members. I have heard the phrase “learning is fun” being thrown around many times, but this was the first time I actually experienced it!

If you are looking for a purposeful platform that will help you gear up for CAT without the pomp and splendor of a manic corporate driven agenda, then 2IIM is it!
