I first came across 2IIM in November 2019. I was planning on giving CAT 2019 and deep down I knew I was seriously underprepared. So instead of studying like anybody who is underprepared is supposed to, I decided to scroll through YouTube videos on how to score 99+ percentile. This is when I first saw Rajesh Sir. 2IIM had uploaded a video titled “CAT 2019 score vs percentile(predicted)”. Sir starts of saying that this a must watch video which will give you an idea of how much to exactly score in order to achieve your percentile goal.

*I was like, yeah, how??*

30 seconds into the video he starts laughing and says that no one can make the exact prediction.

In those 30 seconds I was convinced that he is by far the most honest teacher I have come across. My only regret: I wish I had found him sooner.

But universe granted me my wish, I didn’t clear CAT 2019, and I got enrolled at 2IIM for their online CAT comprehensive course 2020.

And thus my journey with 2IIM began.

2IIM is the most fun, amazing, supportive, honest, genuine and the best(I am afraid I have run out of adjectives here, good for you or else I would filled a page :D) CAT prep provider there is in the country or if I may, the universe. Let me break it down subject wise.

1. Quants

The most comprehensive quants course there is. Rajesh Sir has a magical way of making even the most difficult of concepts seem absolutely simple. He solves every question with a big smile on his face and keeps saying fabulous, delightful and wonderful, making us fall in love with those questions. Those of you who don’t like geometry raise your hand. I had both my hands raised before I started the course, but gradually after listening to Rajesh Sir break down all the concepts, and the way he teaches and motivates you, I fell in love with geometry. Rajesh Sir is the most amazing teacher and to be honest it is my honour to be his student.

2. DILR

DILR is the elephant in the room for most people. CAT can ask anything under the sun, which particularly makes this section a little tricky. The 2IIM course provides you with challenging and beautiful CAT level puzzles, which once you solve judiciously, the brain will become conditioned to thinking in a certain way. It will help you create a foundation for solving such puzzles and which in turn will make you comfortable to approach different types of puzzles.

3. VARC

CAT VARC has grown tougher over the years and the only solution to this is reading. Now the question is what to read and how to know what is relevant? Ask and you shall receive. Every other prep provider suggests reading, but no one goes to the extent of searching for a brilliant article and giving it you on a platter. 2IIM is the only organisation that does this.

Bharat Sir’s reading list is the most extensive reading material that is available. Ranging across genres, this list provides you with everything needed for VARC preparation. Bharat sir has meticulously curated this list and continues to add a new gem to it every day. Just google “Bharat’s reading list” and fall in love with reading.

CAT 2020 is particularly different because of a lot of other uncertainties.

To quote my favourite author P.G. Wodehouse, “I’m not absolutely certain of the facts, but I rather fancy it’s Shakespeare who says that it’s always just when a fellow is feeling particularly braced with things in general that Fate sneaks up behind him with the bit of lead piping.”

Just when all the aspirants were recovering from the pandemic blow, CAT 2020 had a new trick up its sleeve; They reduced the exam to 2 hours and gave no clarity about the pattern. In the midst of all these uncertainties, the whole 2IIM team bent over backwards to make sure we remain motivated through the exam. They scheduled live sessions for us even though it was a not a part of the package that we had paid for. They came live 3 times a week just to make sure that we do not get demotivated in our prep. I cannot thank them enough for this. Pages would fall short if I were to thank them for all the efforts that they have taken for their students even when they were also bearing the brunt of the pandemic.

Kudos to Rajesh Sir, Bharat Sir and the entire 2IIM team.

After the raw scores were out, every other CAT provider asked for personal details (All of this is used for telemarketing calls for their business) before they give you the individual scores. 2IIM is the only organisation that never asked for any personal details to calculate the scores, this was not just for their students but for everybody.

In a nutshell:

Before enrolling with 2IIM, I tried other prep providers. Had i known them before, would have saved hard earned money. In my opinion, Go for it, it is worth every penny. 2IIM is a community that will always have your back. They are the best CAT prep providers and will stand true to it. As Rajesh Sir always says, “Prepare like your life depends on it and give the exam like nothing depends on it.” They will provide you with all the tools necessary to fight the battle. The outcome of it depends on the individual, one’s temperament and that day’s circumstances. But one thing you can be sure of is that you will enjoy your journey with 2IIM and they won’t let you down. Best wishes for your prep.
