I can officially answer questions like this now!

I got my first tattoo about a month ago for my 18th, and it may have been one of the best decisions of my life. It's definitely the first of many.

I'm a bit of a Harry Potter fan, and I wanted to incorporate that however I wanted mine to be a bit more subtle and unique.

It's a homage to Gryffindor (the best house, thank you) and well…it's awesome. My tattoo artist was amazing. I was worried about the watercolour because I've seen some pretty bad watercolour tattoos, but she knew what she was doing.

I didn't just get the Gryffindor lion because of house loyalty, or because I love Harry Potter. Gryffindor means a lot to me. I suffer from social anxiety (it's mild compared to some people but it's still there) and honestly how I motivate myself to do anything is:

"You're a Gryffindor, you can ask you're teacher for …"

It's pretty silly but it helps me to cope. It's a reminder that I can do it, even if that means buying a carton of milk at the till.
