I have not taken Duke’s course in this subject, but I have taken the same course through the University of Vermont. I can say without a doubt there are multiple practical takeaways from the UVM course in Digital Marketing. Each week focuses on a new component where you not only learn theory and best practice, but yoy are required to apply your learning by completing case study assignments each week. At the every end of the course, you have to build a capstone project which is essentially a full digital marketing plan for a brand or organization of your choice by utilizing all the skills and tactics you learned during the previous 12 weeks.
