Profile photo for Keerthi Sri

I have three tattoos, all of which were done by incredibly amazing and kind artists from Toronto, Canada. I will tag their Instagram names as well.

1.

My most recent tattoo is a landscape portrait of Sri Lanka which is where I am from. It was done by Calvin from Golden Iron. His Instagram is: grxsy

I am a first generation Canadian who was born here and until recently wasnt given the opportunity to go to my native land. My parents gave up everything to give us a better life and I got this tattoo to remind me where I'm from and the sacrifices my parents made to give me this life.

2.

My second most recent tattoo is a globe tattoo done by Zeke from Chronic Ink. Her Instagram is: zeke_chronicink.

I got this tattoo to always stay open minded and non judgemental. There are people from all around the world with different, rich cultures and histories and I want to learn as much as I can. I want to travel the world and learn as much as humanly possible and this tattoo is a constant reminder that there is so much more to be explored.

3.

My third tattoo is a dandelion. It was done by Hailey from Tattoo people. Her Instagram is: lleeggaa.

I got this tattoo to remind myself that sometimes things cannot be controlled. It's to reference going with the wind and letting go. Often I find myself getting upset when things dont go as well as intended. I find this tattoo a constant reminder that no matter how hard you try, you can't control or predict the outcomes of everything in your life so stay optimistic and positive as things will work out in the bigger picture.

I love all of my tattoos so far and I'm grateful to have been tattooed by so many amazing artists. I truly see tattoos as an art form and I love the creativeness and innovation a lot of artists bring to the table. I will definitely continue to keep getting tattoos from my favorite artists and hopefully in a few years I'll be traveling around the world in order to obtain these pieces. Currently I get one tattoo a year as it gives me time to think my ideas through.
