Considering the amount of people who still dislike him, I am half-sure I am going to get backlash for this.

But I couldn’t hold it anymore.

I also posted a similar thing in INTR, but it kind of flopped. Probably because of the number of people who dislike him don’t want to accept the fact. So, I had to delete that post.

You are free to pop your veins because of this, if you still are an anti of him, I don’t give a fuck about it.

You can call me “delusional”, “egoistic”, “insensitive”, “bitch”, or whatever comes in your mind, I still don’t give a fuck about it.

Yes, I fully defend Woojin in this one. Or, in other words, I am a “Woojail Defender”, if that’s what you wanna call me.

For those who don’t know:

In early September of 2020, an anonymous Twitter user posted about being sexually harassed by a K-Pop idol. She shared hints of the idol’s identity, which would then lead to Woojin.

Soon, there was a massive hate train against him. Stays burned his merch, called him “Woojail”, and so on.. Then, there was a whole ass string of rumors. And those are:

• He did the same thing to many other girls.
• He did the same thing to a Boy Story member.
• He palmed himself seeing Chaeryoung when she was a minor.
• He bullied his members.
• He impregnated his fansite.

And so on…

Now, for all of you dumbasses who refuse to see Woojin’s side, aka, the truth, here you go:

The above account is entirely based on debunking all the SA/bullying rumors.

🍀So kindly read the whole thread/check the account before moving ahead, because I know some of you dumbasses won’t.🍀

🍁Also, the statement of Woojin in which he apparently called the accusations “weird rumors” and “promoted” his solo, is a mistranslation. 🍁

Here’s the screenshot for the correct translations:

Remember, don’t trust translated sources too much, as some of them can be a mistranslation and be a huge misunderstanding.

Also, a food for thought: When other members (Lee Know and Felix) were accused of harassment, y’all protected them. But when it was Woojin, y’all dragged him to hell. Also, Felix was accused *before* Woojin was (and Lee Know was after), so this shows that the double standards are insane.

Before you say “But Anna, Lee Know and Felix are still members, but Woojin isn’t.”:

Remember that Woojin was a member since the beginning. He was part of all of their important moments, from debuting as 9, to getting their first win as 9, to having their first world tour as 9. Even if he isn’t a member anymore, you can’t deny he was a part of some of their important moments.

• Or, before you say ”But Anna, why would JYP pretend that he never existed when he left SKZ.”

JYP no longer has Woojin’s legal rights, 10x has. So, if JYP still used his image even after his departure, it might lead to legal issues.

• Or, ”But Anna, why would he leave out of nowhere if he actually is innocent?”

He left because of personal reasons, maybe because his musical direction didn’t suit SKZ’s, or he might be having a family issue, or also for some health reasons (either mental or physical).

• Or, “But Anna, why would Felix write #8 in that one Instagram post?”

Maybe it’s because he posted it after Woojin’s scandal came out and Felix most likely was aware of them. So, he knew that if he wrote #9, then he might get hate for “supporting a bully/r-pist”.

Or, they could also most likely moved on, as by the time Felix wrote that post, it was almost a year since WJ’s departure, and most likely don’t wanna associate themselves with each other. It happens sometimes.

We don’t know Felix’s real motive of writing #8, so I don’t think it is right to judge quickly or make assumptions.

And, one more thing:

🍁If Woojin truly assaulted someone or bullied his members, then why do you think JYP would tell us to “support him” and not tell us the reason why his contract got terminated?🍁

Remember Yoon Seobin, an ex-JYP trainee/former Produce contestant? He was in a bullying scandal and JYP terminated his contract and told us the reason of it.

Let’s compare JYP’s statement about Seobin to the statement about Woojin.

Noticed something?

• JYP told the reason for Seobin’s departure, but didn’t for Woojin
• JYP told us to support Woojin for his future activities, but didn’t for Seobin.
• Woojin terminated his contract on his own terms, while JYP themselves terminated Seobin’s contract.

Also, if Woojin truly bullied his members, then JYP wouldn’t have even debuted him in the first place/kicked him out way before he could even leave SKZ.

If Dispatch could go as far as fishing chats from 5–6 years ago (B.I…), then it won’t be hard to fish for “tea” about something which happened less than a year ago, right?

But no, they stayed silent. Not a single article about the situation.

I mean, if the person truly was assaulted, then why do you think they would post it anonymous on Twitter, instead of going to court or the police station?

It reminded me of the Manav Singh incident. If you are a non-Indian or not aware of the incident, then let me enlighten you:

Last year, a girl accused Manav, a then 17-year old of assaulting her 2–3 years ago on Instagram, and she even said she didn’t have any proof of it. She didn’t even bother to go to the police station to file a case, yet social media declared the guy guilty. He got threat calls and messages, was harassed by the girl’s friends, until he couldn’t handle it anymore and well he… left the world. (If you know what I mean….)

This shows how such accusations can ruin someone’s life. I already told you about the above incident. That girl not only took away an innocent life, but also ruined his family’s lives, forever. And the worst thing? She is continuing on with living a normal life as if this never happened, while Manav’s family is suffering.

Imagine, if Woojin also did the same thing and it was proven that he was innocent, then *we* would be the ones to be blamed. *We* would be the reason why Woojin’s life was destroyed and so his family’s.

I really respect Woojin for staying strong through all of this, despite Stays calling him “Woojail”, burning his merch, giving him death threats, mass reporting his SNS accounts, spreading more and more rumors about him.

If I were him, I couldn’t have handled all of this. I am generally a pretty sensitive person, and all of this would had really affected me badly.

Because Twitter and practically the entire K-Pop fandom feeds on rumors, and then distort and exaggerate them to fit their own narrative, and adds more rumors for the toppings.

🍀And because of the rumors, Woojin will have the “bully” and “abuser” label stuck on him for the rest of his career.🍀

And there is NOTHING that could be changed about it.

Remember Taeyong? Why am I bringing Taeyong in an answer about Woojin?

Because both of them had to face a similar thing: Facing accusations by anonymous sources.

Both of them faced rumors about them from anonymous sources, both were hated for it, and it took them a long time to prove their innocence (Woojin took months, Taeyong took half a decade).

But the only difference was that at least one rumor about Taeyong was true, and that was fat-shaming, but he apologized multiple times. While everything about Woojin’s scandal was false.

And guess what?

Taeyong has to bear the “bully” and “scammer” image on his back for the rest of his career. People still hate on him, though the hate isn’t as much as it was before, it is still bad. He’s still the most hated member of NCT and still gets dragged everytime there is a fanwar.

And now, Woojin has to face the same thing as Taeyong: having an image stuck on him for something he never did for the rest of his career.

But, am I saying he is a perfect angel who never said “stupid” or any bad word in his life? No. But, I am saying is that he is innocent of all the accusations against him.

The saying “People believe in what they want to believe, because the truth to them is irrevelant” suits y’all very well. You don’t wanna accept the fact that Woojin is innocent, and keep on hating on him.

You don’t have to stan WJ or like him, but the hate train needs to stop.
