Most car insurance companies are kind of banking on you not noticing that they’re overcharging you. But unlike the olden days where everything was done through an agent, there are now several ways to reduce your insurance bills online. Here are a few ways:
1. Take 2 minutes to compare your rates
Here’s the deal: your current car insurance company is probably charging you more than you should be paying. Don’t waste your time going from one insurance site to another trying to find a better deal.
Instead, use a site like Coverage.com, which lets you compare all of your options in one place.

Here’s the deal: your current car insurance company is probably charging you more than you should be paying. Don’t waste your time going from one insurance site to another trying to find a better deal.
Instead, use a site like Coverage.com, which lets you compare all of your options in one place.
Coverage.com is one of the biggest online insurance marketplaces in the U.S., offering quotes from over 175 different carriers. Just answer a few quick questions about yourself and you could find out you’re eligible to save up to $600+ a year - here.
2. Use your driving skills to drop your rate
Not every company will do this, but several of the major brand insurance companies like Progressive, Allstate, and Statefarm offer programs that allow you to use a dash cam, GPS, or mobile app to track your driving habits and reduce your rates. You just have to do it for a month typically and then they’ll drop your rate.
You can find a list of insurance companies that offer this option - here.
3. Fight speeding tickets and traffic infractions
A lot of people don’t realize that hiring a lawyer to fight your traffic violations can keep your record clean. The lawyer fee oftentimes pays for itself because you don’t end up with an increase in your insurance. In some cities, a traffic lawyer might only cost $75 per infraction. I’ve had a few tickets for 20+ over the speed limit that never hit my record. Keep this in mind any time you get pulled over.
4. Work with a car insurance company that rewards you for your loyalty
Sticking with the same car insurance provider should pay off, right? Unfortunately, many companies don’t truly value your loyalty. Instead of rewarding you for staying with them, they quietly increase your rates over time.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. Some insurers actually reward long-term customers with better deals and additional perks. By switching to a company that values loyalty - like one of the loyalty rewarding options on this site - you can enjoy real benefits, like lower premiums, better discounts, and added coverage options tailored just for you.
5. Find Out If Your Car Insurance Has Been Overcharging You
You can’t count on your car insurance provider to give you the best deal—they’re counting on you not checking around.
That’s where a tool like SavingsPro can help. You can compare rates from several top insurers at once and let them pitch you a better price.
Did you recently move? Buy a new car? Get a little older? These changes can mean better rates, and SavingsPro makes it easy to see if switching providers could save you money.
All it takes is a few minutes to answer these questions about your car and driving habits. You’ll quickly see if it’s time to cancel your current insurance and switch to a more affordable plan.
These are small, simple moves that can help you manage your car insurance properly. If you'd like to support my work, feel free to use the links in this post—they help me continue creating valuable content. Alternatively, you can search for other great options through Google if you prefer to explore independently.

I can not speak for all computers, but on my Dell system they only pre-loaded the installation package and not the entire McAfee package. It is very easy to uninstall if you just uninstall the McAfee installer and never use it in the first place. Your computer may be different, but it is one of the first things I do when I get a new system. Dell will not sell you a Windows computer without McAfee on it, they get a kickback from McAfee for doing that.
Windows Defender is free and works as well or better than commercial software. It also uses less resources than commercial products.

Renew the Norton 360 with the Product Key
If you already have the Norton 360 product in your device and also you found that your device is lagging so much, you have to make sure that you renew your Norton 360 subscription properly. You can also renew the subscription along with a product key.
If you buy a Norton product from any Norton online store or you have purchased from any third party site, then the product key of the Norton 360 should be in your confirmation email. But if you are unable to check that confirmation email in your message box, then you can check that mail in your spam filter folder.
Apart from that, the user will be able to locate the Norton product Key from their personal Norton account easily; which is available on the service page. The Norton product key often comes in a box. It means if you buy a boxed product CD online or from any retailer store, then your product key will be there right inside the box. All you need to do is just scratch the card to get the product key. After getting the product key go to the official page of Norton. Click on the renew option or activate now option. After that click on a certain option called I have a code or key to enter. You will be provided with a certain dialogue box. Type your 16 digit product key and then click on next button. Then, try to follow the on-screen instruction. Finally, review the details of your subscription and click done.
It would be better to think of your installation of McAfee as a 30-day trial, instead of a 30-day free subscription.
When the trial period expired it started popping up those nagging messages to get you to purchase a subscription.
To stop those messages, you have 2 options:
First option is to pay for an annual subscription. When you have paid for the subscription, those messages will go away. Until it is time to renew the subscription.
Second option is to uninstall McAfee. If the program doesn’t exist on you machine anymore, it can’t pop up messages about buying a subscription.

1. Cancel Your Car Insurance
You might not even realize it, but your car insurance company is probably overcharging you. In fact, they’re kind of counting on you not noticing. Luckily, this problem is easy to fix.
Don’t waste your time browsing insurance sites for a better deal. A company called Insurify shows you all your options at once — people who do this save up to $996 per year.
If you tell them a bit about yourself and your vehicle, they’ll send you personalized quotes so you can compare them and find the best one for you.
Tired of overpaying for car insurance? It takes just five minutes to compare your options with Insurify and see how much you could save on car insurance.
2. Ask This Company to Get a Big Chunk of Your Debt Forgiven
A company called National Debt Relief could convince your lenders to simply get rid of a big chunk of what you owe. No bankruptcy, no loans — you don’t even need to have good credit.
If you owe at least $10,000 in unsecured debt (credit card debt, personal loans, medical bills, etc.), National Debt Relief’s experts will build you a monthly payment plan. As your payments add up, they negotiate with your creditors to reduce the amount you owe. You then pay off the rest in a lump sum.
On average, you could become debt-free within 24 to 48 months. It takes less than a minute to sign up and see how much debt you could get rid of.
3. You Can Become a Real Estate Investor for as Little as $10
Take a look at some of the world’s wealthiest people. What do they have in common? Many invest in large private real estate deals. And here’s the thing: There’s no reason you can’t, too — for as little as $10.
An investment called the Fundrise Flagship Fund lets you get started in the world of real estate by giving you access to a low-cost, diversified portfolio of private real estate. The best part? You don’t have to be the landlord. The Flagship Fund does all the heavy lifting.
With an initial investment as low as $10, your money will be invested in the Fund, which already owns more than $1 billion worth of real estate around the country, from apartment complexes to the thriving housing rental market to larger last-mile e-commerce logistics centers.
Want to invest more? Many investors choose to invest $1,000 or more. This is a Fund that can fit any type of investor’s needs. Once invested, you can track your performance from your phone and watch as properties are acquired, improved, and operated. As properties generate cash flow, you could earn money through quarterly dividend payments. And over time, you could earn money off the potential appreciation of the properties.
So if you want to get started in the world of real-estate investing, it takes just a few minutes to sign up and create an account with the Fundrise Flagship Fund.
This is a paid advertisement. Carefully consider the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses of the Fundrise Real Estate Fund before investing. This and other information can be found in the Fund’s prospectus. Read them carefully before investing.
4. Earn Up to $50 this Month By Answering Survey Questions About the News — It’s Anonymous
The news is a heated subject these days. It’s hard not to have an opinion on it.
Good news: A website called YouGov will pay you up to $50 or more this month just to answer survey questions about politics, the economy, and other hot news topics.
Plus, it’s totally anonymous, so no one will judge you for that hot take.
When you take a quick survey (some are less than three minutes), you’ll earn points you can exchange for up to $50 in cash or gift cards to places like Walmart and Amazon. Plus, Penny Hoarder readers will get an extra 500 points for registering and another 1,000 points after completing their first survey.
It takes just a few minutes to sign up and take your first survey, and you’ll receive your points immediately.
5. This Online Bank Account Pays 10x More Interest Than Your Traditional Bank
If you bank at a traditional brick-and-mortar bank, your money probably isn’t growing much (c’mon, 0.40% is basically nothing).1
But there’s good news: With SoFi Checking and Savings (member FDIC), you stand to gain up to a hefty 3.80% APY on savings when you set up a direct deposit or have $5,000 or more in Qualifying Deposits and 0.50% APY on checking balances2 — savings APY is 10 times more than the national average.1
Right now, a direct deposit of at least $1K not only sets you up for higher returns but also brings you closer to earning up to a $300 welcome bonus (terms apply).3
You can easily deposit checks via your phone’s camera, transfer funds, and get customer service via chat or phone call. There are no account fees, no monthly fees and no overdraft fees.* And your money is FDIC insured (up to $3M of additional FDIC insurance through the SoFi Insured Deposit Program).4
It’s quick and easy to open an account with SoFi Checking and Savings (member FDIC) and watch your money grow faster than ever.

5. Stop Paying Your Credit Card Company
If you have credit card debt, you know. The anxiety, the interest rates, the fear you’re never going to escape… but a website called AmONE wants to help.
If you owe your credit card companies $100,000 or less, AmONE will match you with a low-interest loan you can use to pay off every single one of your balances.
The benefit? You’ll be left with one bill to pay each month. And because personal loans have lower interest rates (AmONE rates start at 6.40% APR), you’ll get out of debt that much faster.
It takes less than a minute and just 10 questions to see what loans you qualify for.
6. Earn Up to $225 This Month Playing Games on Your Phone
Ever wish you could get paid just for messing around with your phone? Guess what? You totally can.
Swagbucks will pay you up to $225 a month just for installing and playing games on your phone. That’s it. Just download the app, pick the games you like, and get to playing. Don’t worry; they’ll give you plenty of games to choose from every day so you won’t get bored, and the more you play, the more you can earn.
This might sound too good to be true, but it’s already paid its users more than $429 million. You won’t get rich playing games on Swagbucks, but you could earn enough for a few grocery trips or pay a few bills every month. Not too shabby, right?
Ready to get paid while you play? Download and install the Swagbucks app today, and see how much you can earn!
McAfee puts a lot of files on a computer. I always use Revo Uninstaller to get rid of it all. Windows Defender and an occasional Malwarebytes scan has kept me virus free for the last 3 years.
Go for Security Essentials, it is very good. I have been using it for years and have had no virus issues. Also the commercial AVs such as McAfee add a lot of pretty, but fairly useless features to try and add perceived value to their products. These take up system resources, which can really slow down lower spec PCs. I have installed Security Essentials on a number of PCs and the owners have always been very happy with it and amazed that it's free.
Give it a go, it's free so you have nothing to lose!

Many Windows computers come with bloatware: trial subscriptions that you probably don’t need. Microsoft Office, anti-malware, etc.
There are 4 things you can do. You can buy the subscriptions, but you are just as well off with free stuff (LibreOffice, the built-in anti-malware, etc.) You can uninstall the bloatware, but that can be difficult to know what’s good and what’s not. You can download a clean copy of Windows and install that; you’ll notice it takes up less room than your bloatware version, but it might be missing some tools your PC vendor put in that are actually useful. Lastly (first, in my view), you can wipe Windows out and install a different operating system like one of the many distributions of Linux.
You pay for a licence which can last 1~3 years.
This licence grants you updates.
Once the licence expires, you can continue to use the anti malware product but it's effectiveness starts to reduce.
Uninstall McCrappy. No more nags, your machine will run faster, and the built in Windows Defender is (arguably) better anyway.
If you want to use McAfee on your multiple devices, then you should go for McAfee Multi-devices subscription plans. With these plans, you can quickly secure your various devices. You can protect your desktop, laptop as well as Smartphone with just one subscription. McAfee offers multiple other advanced features for providing a safe and secure environment to its users.
Follow below steps to easily renw Norton Antivirus subscription:
- Open your Norton product.
- Click on 'Renew' resides Next to Subscription Status
- Click on Renew My Subscription.
- Recheck that your device is connected with internet.
- Follow the instructions to renew your Norton product from the opened webpage.
- After compeleting your order do exit from the web browser window.
- Follow on-screen instructions to complete the renewal process given in the Symantec Renewal window.
- Download all the available updates (if any) for your Norton product, run LiveUpdate.
Every Antivirus app is an annual subscription service.
After the licence period is over, if you don't renew it, the app will lose its functionality and it'll run just like the free version of the Antivirus app.

Once you are in touch with the Customer care executive, you could request them to rescind the auto-renewal feature and also remove your credit card details. I hope this answer was helpful.

You’d have to purchase a prepaid credit card or use your debit card (if you have one). You can go to any local retailer (including drugstores) and buy a prepaid card to renew your subscription. Good Luck!
I have total protection until April 2021, but, you renewed the life safe which I didn't know I had! I don't know how this came about! I would have never OK'd this, because I wouldn't have needed it! So, I want it reimbursed!
To get a refund for the auto-renewals, you can contact McAfee support service by the phone number on the site. It is a hassle-free call that gives you a variety of choices to deal with your refund issue. McAfee customer care refund number is the instant solution for auto-renewals. You can also get the details to fill McAfee retail refund request form.
After the free subscription period expires, you'll receive an email, prompting you to purchase a subscription. If you do not want to purchase, you can ignore this email and take no further action. NOTE: After the trial period expires, your McAfee software no longer receives updates.
It depends on your risk profile and how comfortable with preventing virus infections in the first place. If you are a complete newb to computer based malware or have someone in your household that lacks the ability to refrain from clicking on questionable links in email, etc. Then yes, by all means buy a commercial grade anti-virus or look into a home grade A/V and firewall solution like Trend Micros solution.
If you haven’t detected a virus (malware) in 5–10 years with a commercial A/V product installed, congrats! You probably only need a free A/V like AVAST or Windows Defender, just to say so

This is all I use these days but I mysteriously did have a file infected on my work machine recently. First time in maybe 20 years, still it felt odd.
Lastly, I will tell you that attacking home based machines has become less of a priority but it does happen from time to time.
You should have something but depends on how you use your machine and who else has access as well. That latter is usually the deciding factor.
I’ve been using McAfee for 3 years. it’s good and light compared to another anti-virus available in the market. It’s worth renewal.
I am not sure how it works on McAfee but with ESET I can use them on different devices.
If you have 3 completely different activation keys then I suppose you could wait till the current licence expires and then use one of the other keys to extend it for further period.
Will renewing your McAfee subscription speed up your computer?
Renewing or not renewing a subscription for your AV product, should not affect the speed of your computer in any way.
