The Honest Auto-Driver in Mumbai !

On 9th Jan 2016, I along with my friend took an auto from Inorbit Mall, Malad to DN Nagar metro Station in Mumbai. After we left the auto, a minute after I realised that I had left

my mobile onto the seat in the rickshaw. We tried to look for the auto-driver but he was gone. Other auto-driver who was there at the stop told us that he has seen the rickshaw-driver and he went the way back on the same road. We tried to follow him on the road but he was nowhere to be seen. Meanwhile, my friend was continuously calling on my phone which was ringing and after sometime it was switched off. So, we concluded that the driver had got the phone and might have thrown the sim-card. But, something happened which we hadn’t imagined. After an hour, my friend got a call back from my number and on the call was the same auto-driver. Actually, after we left him, a lady boarded his auto and informed him about the phone lying in one corner. As we were continuously calling on the phone, he switched it off and after dropping the lady at her destination, he called us back. We were certainly in shock looking at this person’s honesty.

The auto driver’s name is Shivprasad Yadav and he lives in Jogeshwari, Mumbai. Hats off to him and lots of respect for his honesty. hope I meet more such people like Mr.Yadav !!!
