Hehe.

There are no ‘enlightened people.‘ There are no ‘liberated ‘people.’ There are no ‘fully-awakened people.’ There is only enlightenment, Being, Life, This Everything.

‘Enlightened person’ is an oxymoron, because any centralized, self-contained ‘person’ is seen to have always been an illusion, a dream. All there is, is Being.

I recently watched the British TV show “Call The Midwife.” In this episode, I watched as pregnant women howled in divine agony as they pushed out babies, a career nun struggled with the undeniable love she felt blossoming for a lay doctor and the fear she was betraying her Christian faith, and a grandfather dying from tuberculosis, after losing almost all his family to the disease, reaching out to his one remaining estranged pregnant daughter, both of them hoping he can remain alive at least until he can hold his new grandchild once.

I started weeping at the absolute wonder and expression of Aliveness/Being, Life and Death, disease and new birth, spontaneous joy, and love, aching inexorable love, about half-way through the episode, and didn’t stop until well after it was over.
