The site will ask you again if you are sure you don’t want to check a bag, if you don’t, then a few days prior to your flight, you will get an email asking you AGAIN, are you sure you don’t want to check a bag. If you do it now, through the site, the charge is generally $25.00. If you decide at the last minute to bring a bag and you show up at the ticket counter with it, the charge goes up to $50.00. If you decide that you are just going to take your 45lb. hard sided steamer trunk through security and stroll onto the airplane with it, you are not going to be happy with Spirit Airlines, because the gate agent is going to stop you, and now the charge will be $100.00. Passengers won’t remember an issue when looking for a flight as most will only experience a long delay or a cancelation as an exception in all the flights they take. Shit happen and United, JetBlue, and others experienced periods where their operation was not optimal. Still, they have recovered from that and kept customers loyal to them.

We can say the same for Frontier and Sun Country in North America or Easyjet or Ryanair in Europe. From time to time they face the bad press for hiccups in their operations but always keep loyalty of a large crowd of travelers.
I love Spirit ! I've been flying from Myrtle Beach , SC to LaGuardia for the past 15years with no problems , flights are on time , planes are decent , service is good,I get from point a to point b very happy and comfortably ! My daughter does it in reverse with an infant and now a toddler and raves about Spirit too !
I’m no spirit spokesperson, but in the last year they have got a new CEO, and are making changes. I also want to add that if you want the Cadillac of airlines. This is not it. I often refer to Spirit as “Soul Plane” a reference to the airline ran by Kevin Hart in the movie of the same title.
Sometimes it is the people of Walmart with wings, but at the prices, as long as it can keep those wings in the air from A to B. Spirit you o’right with me. I guess because I can sit like a mannequin for 1 to 4.5 hours straight I can make it at those prices.

Absolutely! You won't ever know if an airline is good enough for you personally unless you try it. We recently flew with spirit and we flew on a brand-new airplane to our destination, and on our way home we flew on one of the oldest planes they have. Both flights were a breeze. Our flight was suppose to be 1-½ hours and it ended up being 1 hour and 6 minutes. The flight attendants were friendly and played games with us on the plane to pass some time. We had to answer trivia questions and whoever guessed it right won 1,000 free air miles.
I love Spirit , I've been flying with them 16 years , I've been flying 50 years ! I have found they have the most direct flights, I've never had a problem with gate agents , ticket agents etc . I find them very professional ,courteous, efficient and helpful ! It's perfect for me ! Grant you , I don't require much and am traveling a sort distance, no more than a two hour flight ! The price and convenience for me is perfect !
I don’t travel with them, but most airlines let you manage your bookings on their website. Often, they send email to confirm a booking, and include a link in the email to manage it.
