I am from China and we all know that there have been no more royals after the establishment of the People's Republic of China. So basically we judge classes by how much money you own right now.
I have to say it's nice to be part of middle class.
If you are a person belongs to middle class of our country, then you can:
Buy things of almost all kinds of world famous brands and you won't be sorry for your money.
Taste luxuries food at the cost of amounts of RMB and you won't be sorry for your money.
Take a rest at a five-star hotel during traveling and you won't be sorry for your money.
Tell your friends about your are flying to Maldives next time and you won't be sorry for your money.
......
......
I hope you guys won't consider we Chinese as shallow ones after read the words I type above.(though some Chinese act like that)
There is a saying goes like "No one can live without money though money can't buy you everything"
And we all admit money benefits us in many ways.Somehow it can even strengthen our confidence ,I know this gonna sounds like wired but it turns out to work.
Also I have to say,the truth is most middle class Chinese tend to keep a low key, seldom do they show off their wleath. They are modest in most case.If you happen to meet Chinese that keep telling you I am rich and I own blah blah blah...actually they are not rich,or can be called "rich" because their egos inflate as long as they slightly reach the edge of "middle class".
We Chinese are likely to call this kind of guys as "redneck".
Frankly speaking,I never regard myself as a part of middle class.Although my parents are from there but me still me,it won't change anything.
It's your spiritual level that decides which class you belong to.If you think you are middle class then you really are.Have faith in yourself 'cause other things really have nothing to do with class classification ,if you regard yourself as middle class or other things deserve to you then just go for them, with all you can.
