Hey, Co-founder of Scena 360 here đź‘‹,

At the beginning of the pandemic, my friends and I set out to build a remedy for Zoom fatigue. Our mission is to make virtual gatherings feel more like in-person gatherings through shared 3D spaces.

Scena 360 offers some features that may alleviate Zoom fatigue:

  • We make it normal to have your webcam turned off with the help of customizable and realistic avatars.
    • No more worrying about bad hair days, kids running behind you or stains on your shirt.
    • Unique and customizable avatars also means looking at more familiar faces and less blank screens.
    • This article in the HBR suggests “For external calls, avoid defaulting to video, especially if you don’t know each other well.” as a measure against Zoom fatigue
  • Gather with your attendees in more realistic and shared 3D spaces, so you can feel like you’re sitting in the same room.
  • With positional audio, we give attendees the ability to have separate conversations in parallel without breaking into awkwardly-moderated breakout rooms.
  • With spatial video, you can turn towards the person that you’re talking to, so you don’t have to say their name out loud before you address them.

Here are some other recommendations that may have been addressed by others:

  • Schedule shorter meetings
  • Meet with fewer people
