Oh yes I have. Living both in Norway and Iceland. I have been on mountain roads in -30 degrees snow storms where wind chill is absolutely increasing the awesome cold.

I have also been in the same things on my petrol and diesel cars.

Let me tell you this, if I could choose, I would always pick the Tesla to be in. It was the only car with the inside of the car was warm, the inside of the windows did not have fog or water wapor on them. The windshield wipers were almost useful.

I get lots of comments about the text below. When you are in close to -30C, with blizzards and high wind, that is what I am talking about. Not average cold winter day. Like the question asks, extreme colds. Read the answer before commenting. I have not had just one fuel car but over 20, probably closer to 30 and driven loads of others.

I have been driving a great diesel car on similar paths and it had stutterings and low power due to the freezing cold. The fog on the inside window was freezing on the inside and had to be scraped, on the inside. The windshield wipers had to be beaten to get rid of the snow that piles onto them as it does not have heating on the wipers as the Tesla does. Let me tell you, even though we were never in danger, this is not a fun thing to be driving in with your family, all freezing under a blanket because the heater barely works.

As this happens every winter, this happens on my Mazda, Peugeot, Audi, VW and other cars.

Tesla, is always nice and warm.

We once rented this hut for a weekend. Drove through frozen hellish weather. It was so cold we never managed to get the hut warm enough to be comfortable. I burnt a lot of logs and it was never comfortable. It was absolutely crazy cold this weekend.

Normal winter. Yes, this is normal.

So, pretty much, all winter is very cold, very bad weather. My Tesla just loves it. The red Tesla was my first Tesla, the Grey is my current one. The red one only had rear wheel drive. It was nonetheless absolutely amazing driving on the ice and slippery roads. The car made you feel safe and comfortable. I have owned BMW during winter and I swear, that car wanted me dead.

Winters, not a problem for a Tesla.
