If you think the Kingdom of Heaven is in the sky, then the birds got in ahead of you.
- Jesus of Nazareth, the Gospel of Thomas
If you think enlightenment is an intellectual understanding, then you will search for the answer.
If you think it’s a feeling, you will strive to attain a state or condition.
If you think it’s an experience, you will wait for the sky to roll up like linoleum and explode with heavenly light.
You already know these are false representations; I won’t insult your intelligence further.
What do they all have in common?
The verb: search, strive, wait.
Enlightenment is what you had before you decided to seek it.
You just didn’t recognize it, that's all.
When what is here and now is second to none, you don’t need to search for anything else.
Click your heels together three times; can it be that simple?
It can, if you realize your only problem is that you have problematized.
