I wish these articles would STOP including third party apps as solutions for determining who is not following you back. This is the worst thing anyone can do. Instagram is seriously cracking down on the use of third party apps — and there’s a big chance that someone could have their account disabled (permanently) just by using third party apps. It doesn’t even matter if they use the app to actually unfollow someone that’s not following back — just the USE of the app can get your account shut down. At this point, third party apps should not even be mentioned.

I have noticed that lately Instagram has been showing me who is not following me back at the end of MY following list (meaning, the list of people I am following). If you scroll to the end of the list of people you are following, you will see who is not following you back. How long Instagram will continue to do this, I do not know. But I hope this is a step forward to a permanent, feasible solution. This is what you guys should be telling people to do — not to install third party apps.
