Many denominations teach that Daniel’s 70th week of 7 years has a modern-day application, and they are correct. Whilst the Watchtower Society does teach that the disgusting thing that causes desolation as foretold by Christ (and spoken about by Daniel the prophet at Daniel 9:27) does indeed have a modern-day fulfillment in the United Nations "wild beast," they fail to understand that this is a part of the 70th week. (Matt 24:15)

However, it is now possible to verify this through a recent event. At the United Nations SDG Summit in September 2023 the United Nations did indeed “confirm” an existing “covenant” they made with “many” nations back in 2015 for a further “week” (7 years). This covenant, or treaty, is known as Agenda 2030. This is the counterfeit kingdom set up by Satan to oppose God's Kingdom.

This raises the questions: Which “people” and “holy city” will the disgusting thing desolate "in the middle of the week" in 2027, and why?

The answer is Jehovah's Witnesses and the Watchtower Society because of their "transgression," which includes the false teaching of 1914 and shunning, among other errors. This transgression is foretold at Daniel 9:24 and Daniel 8.

The desolation will last for a time, times, and half a time until 2030. This is when Michael will stand up for his people and all these things will come to a finish. How exciting is this? The Kingdom of God will begin to rule in 2030!
