Nothing happens if you refuse to take the notice. Lawyers send the notice through RPAD which means that they come to know you’ve refused it.

In law, refusal is deemed notice. Which means that whether or not you take the notice, you have knowledge of its existence. Damning your own case, you, out of your own will and action, do not have knowledge of the contents of the notice.

So, if you don’t take the notice nothing happens. The lawyer proceeds with the decided action anyway.

However, it is highly beneficial to you to take the notice, go to your own lawyer and send a reply to it.
