Words are overrated at a funeral. Your presence is the best gift you can give. Shock, sorrow and grief are heavy burdens to bear alone. Being surrounded by family and friends is a tremendous comfort. So, go and offer a hug and say you're sorry for their loss. No profound words are necessary; they won't be remembered. The most important part is to go. It will be appreciated. And it will be enough.
