However Ottomans were Turks immigrants from middle Asia, they had nice etiquette:

• If you're going to check on somebody, you can't just knock the door. If you're a guy you use the big hand so man of the house will open and welcome you otherwise use the small hand so the house's lady will host you.

• Begging: It's embracing for every poor guy to spread his hands and beg people. So they created "Sadaka Tasi" - the stone of donation". You enter your hand whether you're giving or taking and no one will no what you're doing.

• Ottoman government was sending butchers every while to work as gardeners, so they don't lose their humanity because of daily basis dealing with blood and meat.

At the end, of course they were great warriors building great civilization but they had good hearts.
