The first time I showed up to the barn without makeup on, my riding instructor yelled out in front of everyone, ‘You look sick. Is something wrong? Maybe you’re just older now’
Make up on? then I have ‘nice eyes’ a ‘striking face’. I look ‘professional’.
That’s not an isolated incident. But it no longer deters me from enjoying my reflection.
With all of my art kid friends, makeup is not needed, ever. Most don’t wear it. In fact it’s weird when someone shows up with a full face on.
The first time I went out in public with no make up on in college, I had an art show. I always had my eyes done like Kate Moss here.
I’m sure people did think I was sick. But then, one guy walked right up to me and said, I really like you without make up on. And it made me smile all the way on the inside.
