We have lived in Stuttgart for 3 years and absolutely love every single minute of it. The city is beautiful and lively. The traffic isn’t too bad comparing from DC area where we’re from. The public transportation system is very good. We mostly take trains to many places. If you like to travel, Stuttgart is a good hub because it’s closed to many countries such as France, Switzerland, and Austria. We sometime take a day trip to Switzerland.

Most people we have met here are very friendly. Like the rest of the world, there’ll be some people who are less enthusiastic and friendly but that didn’t stop us from loving Stuttgart. The city and its surrounding have so many to offer you from the festivals to attractions. We haven’t seen them all but hope we will be able to.

Speaking about food, I think there are variety of food here. I truly enjoy trying different food from many nationalities. But per German customs, the restaurants prefer you to make reservations. You’re not required to tip the servers but we do it anyway to say thank for their wonderful service.

For housing, it was difficult for us to find a rental house that fits our expectation. It took us about 2 months but we found one. If you don’t like crowded, I recommend you not to live in Stuttgart Mitte. That’s downtown area and it’s very crowded in my opinion. We live about 35 minutes away from Stuttgart and can travel to downtown by the S-bahn train from our town. We love it. It’s very quiet town.
