My husband needed to thread an electrical cable through the attic but the space was too tiny for a human to fit through.

Rejecting my offer to lend him one of my pet ferrets with a harness on (hey, don’t laugh - electricians have used ferrets during the construction of many big buildings, including the Millenniuim Dome, so I’m told!) he opted for borrowing one of the kids’ toy guns like this one:

He used string to attach the cable to the “bullet” and shot it through the attic space. It landed exactly where he needed it!
