I recieve an email from HR for an interveiw on coming Tuesday. My lousy Thursday suddenly turns into a preparation day.

First thought runs through my mind is to get my eyebrows shaped. It’s time to change “no money, no parlor” policy I have been running since last 3 months.

Quickly I google the nearest beauty parlor’s number for an appointment. With my broken German, I ask her for the earliest appointment possible.

I cross my fingers and hope to get an appointment on the same day.

Silly me, forgets that I am in Germany.

Parlor lady assures that she will give me an earliest appointment available. And says that I can come in the first week of july.

I look at my laptop screen. It shows 3rd May.

I again forget that I am in Germany and ask her to squeeze my appointment on someday as it will take hardly 5 mins to shape my eyebrows.

She politely refuses and ask me if I want to book an appointment. I say yes, just in case if I have an interview in july.

I start looking for a Indian lady in my village who will do my eyebrows even at 12 in the night!

Waiting several days just to get your eyebrows shaped is the biggest shock for any girl.

Edit: For all those amazing boys out there, who are not able to comprehend why shaping eyebrows is such a big deal. It’s like going for an interview without trimming your beard. Even though trimming beard does make lot of difference and shaping eyebrows doesn’t change much, this is just part of grooming and boosting the self confidence.

If girls had beard, we wouldn’t have focused on our eyebrows. I swear!
