Like many of you reading this, I’ve been looking for ways to earn money online in addition to my part-time job. But you know how it is – the internet is full of scams and shady-grady stuff, so I spent weeks trying to find something legit. And I finally did!
Freecash surprised me in all the right ways. I’ve earned over $1,000 in one month without ‘living’ on the platform. I was skeptical right up until the moment I cashed out to my PayPal.
What is Freecash all about?
Basically, it’s a platform that pays you for testing apps and games and completing surveys. This helps developers improve their applications while you make some money.
- You can earn by downloading apps, testing games, or completing surveys. I love playing games, so that’s where most of my earnings came from (oh, and my favorites were Warpath, Wild Fish, and Domino Dreams).
- There’s a variety of offers (usually, the higher-paying ones take more time).
- Some games can pay up to $1,000 for completing a task, but these typically require more hours to finish.
- On average, you can easily earn $30–50/day.
- You pick your options — you’re free to choose whatever apps, games, and surveys you like.
Of course, it’s not like you can spend 5 minutes a day and become a millionaire. But you can build a stable income in reasonable time, especially if you turn it into a daily habit.
Why did I like Freecash?
- It’s easy. I mean it. You don’t have to do anything complicated. All you need is to follow the task and have some free time to spend on it. For some reason, I especially enjoyed the game Domino Dreams. My initial goal was to complete chapter 10 to get my first $30, but I couldn’t stop playing and ended up completing chapter 15. It was lots of fun and also free money: $400 from that game alone.
- No experience needed. Even if you’ve never done any ‘testing’ before, you can do this. You get straightforward task descriptions, so it’s impossible to go wrong. A task you might expect is something like: Download this game and complete all challenges in 14 days.
- You can do it from anywhere. I was earning money while taking the bus, chilling on the couch, and during my breaks.
- Fast cashing out. I had my earnings in my PayPal account in less than 1 day. I’m not sure how long it takes for other withdrawal methods (crypto, gift cards, etc.), but it should be fast as well.
- You can earn a lot if you’re consistent. I’ve literally seen users in the Leaderboard making $3,000 in just one month. Of course, to get there, you need time, but making a couple of hundred dollars is really easy and relatively fast for anyone.
Don’t miss these PRO tips to earn more:
I feel like most users don’t know about these additional ways to make more money with Freecash:
- Free promo codes: You can follow Freecash on social media to get weekly promo codes for free coins, which you can later exchange for money.
- Daily rewards and bonuses: If you use the platform daily, you’ll get additional bonuses that help you earn more.
- In-app purchases to speed up processes: While playing, you can buy items to help speed up task completion. It’s optional, but it really saved me time, and I earned 4x more than I spent.
- Choose the highest-paying offers: Check New Offers and Featured Offers to get the best opportunities that pay the most.
Honestly, I still can’t believe I was able to earn this much so easily. And I’ve actually enjoyed the whole process. So, if you’re looking for some truly legit ways to earn money online, Freecash is a very good option.

About 60% of carpet found in homes is made of Nylon, which is a plastic. Most other carpeting is plastic as well (most of us can’t afford wall to wall wool). Nylon, Polypropylene, Polyester, Triexta… All fancy names for plastics.
So, keeping that in mind, picture a thin sheet of plastic like you might find covering a Ranger Rick magazine in your middle school library. Fold it in half. Unfold it. Notice the crease? It’s permanent. You’ve damaged the magazine cover. Good job, buddy, I’m telling the librarian on you.

My point is that heavy furniture sitting on your carpet may damage it given a long enough period of time. Even if the carpet’s not permanently damaged by the wooden legs of your couch, if a carpet raking can’t fix the problem, it may take about half as long as the couch sat in that spot for the carpet to regain it’s former glory.
Prevention is as simple as rearranging your furniture once a year or so. Keeps things fresh, keeps your carpet dent free, and it keeps your blind friends guessing!

But there’s good news: With SoFi Checking and Savings (member FDIC), you stand to gain up to a hefty 3.80% APY on savings when you set up a direct deposit or have $5,000 or more in Qualifying Deposits and 0.50% APY on checking balances — savings APY is 10 times more than the national average.
Right now, a direct deposit of at least $1K not only sets you up for higher returns but also brings you closer to earning up to a $300 welcome bonus (terms apply).
You can easily deposit checks via your phone’s camera, transfer funds, and get customer service via chat or phone call. There are no account fees, no monthly fees and no overdraft fees. And your money is FDIC insured (up to $3M of additional FDIC insurance through the SoFi Insured Deposit Program).

Tip #2: Always pull up the tape while the paint is soft - fairly fresh or even wet. However; it’s too wet the paint can spatter. If you wait till your paint is completely dry you risk pulling up the paint when you pull up the tape/stencil. Very sad.
If you leave the tape down too long and the paint is very dry. Paint it again, then wait an hour. So long as it hasn’t been more than 2 weeks (sometimes longer), you can soften the paint underneath by painting it again.
Tip #3: make sure your layers of paint are compatible. Be cautious when trusting your local paint stores. They might not know if B will work over A. But will often talk out of turn. Run tests. Talk to manufacturers to learn about dry time. Consider the weather. If it’s too cold the paint won’t flow right.
Or you could just seal small sections of the floor with a workable fixative and freehand it. Wipe up any errors as you go and seal over your work with compatible floor sealer.
Do your research using sample boards. If a paint store sells you something that fails to perform as promised; you can return it.
NOTE: floor paint is designed to cure quick. Acrylic paint could work bc it’s tough. However; though it seems to dry fast, it can take 60 days to cure!
The image below is of a painted runner. I didn’t paint either of these images. I just did an image search for painted stencil over wood floor.
Perhaps when your done you’ll remember those stains as a blessing.

They make it easy to remove the ``bobbles``, but it is quite possible (but slower) to use a pair of ordinary, sharp scissors, held as near horizontal to the carpet surface as possible, and cut the bobbles from the surface.
This will not damage your carpet, but it will restore the appearance. Vacuum up the excess, and you will be proud of your 30 minutes work!
To avoid it occurring again, avoid wearing outdoor shoes on this type of carpet (especially high heels ), and upright vacuum cleaners with a rotating brush head.

Fruit Fresh contains ascorbic acid (Vitamin C). Ascorbic acid is a reducing agent that is used to prevent fresh produce from spoiling (oxidation). Ascorbic acid will reduce the oxidized dye into a colorless compound. The haircolor was colorless before you mixed it with peroxide.
See my video, Why Apply Dry, When Wetter is Better?
Here’s a formula for a clarifying treatment that will safely remove haircolor, swimmer’s green and hard water minerals (calcium and magnesium) from the hair. All these things oxidize and attach to the hair. Reduction is the opposite of oxidation. Reduction will cause the oxidized coating to literally fall off, without damage. Please don’t use baking soda or bleach. That’s the same as using sandpaper.
Fruit Fresh contains ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Vitamin C is an antioxidant that stops the oxidation reaction that causes fresh fruit and vegetables to turn brown. Vitamin C will also reduce an oxidized coating on the hair. This treatment is completely safe and will not damage the hair.

I'm guessing that you have already padded up as much coffee as you can. If you had cream and sugar in the coffee your going to want to take water, pour it on the spill, and pad up what you can with a white towel.
What you have left is the tannins that are found in coffee and tea.
Whatever stain is left you can take out with hydrogen peroxide found at any department store or Walgreens, CVS etc. Pour or spray the peroxide on the coffee stain. Then take plastic wrap and cover the stain. Put something on top like a large book. Let it sit like that for 12 hours or so. See if the stain is gone. If not

Hydrogen Peroxide can be used on any organic (natural) color. Grass stains, blood, red wine etc. The plastic wrap deprives the peroxide of oxygen which allows it to work longer than if uncovered.

If you use hot water you tend to set the stain, if it is from something like coffee or wine so it is best to try using a stain removal soap like sard and gently working it with cold water and repeatedly absorbing the stain with a sponge.

It is pricey, and you need a good supply to saturate the carpet. Just compare it in your mind to the cost of replacing the carpet.
You will also want a UV flashlight so you can find the exact spots that need treatment.
Believe it or not shaving foam the higher the soap content the better and its safe to use on pretty much every kind of carpet except velvet. Shake the can vigorously and spray it directly onto the stained area. Rub it in using a rough cloth or soft brush but test area first. Let it soak in for as long as possible then blot area with a soft cloth and check to see if the stain has lifted. If not repeat but use warm water and another liberal dose of shaving foam. I use Tesco value shaving foam and it is also great to use on canvas shoes too.

Danger: inhalation and/or fire! With adequate ventilation it will evaporate fast and leave no lingering odor. But you just can’t use too much of it (at least at once) in typical rooms.
Second thoughts:
We had some pros paint a couple of rooms of us once, and they spilled a good part of a gallon of paint onto the carpet. It took them a few attempts, but they got it all up where it was unnoticeable.
I was not there for the cleanup, but it did not smell like High-VOC paint thinner or anything.
I’ve read of people using other solvents: paint thinner, lacquer thinner, acetone - etc, but I’d caution as with the alcohol: they are very volatile and harmful to breathe.
Laundry detergent, water, and a professional carpet cleaning machine is another option.
Depending on size, other options are:
GoJo hand cleaner (citrus based cleaner - you don’t want the pumice kind)
Goo Gone
These kinds of things get paint off of hands pretty well, so maybe it will work for carpet.
If your vacuum is really a Hoover, it might be very old and does not have much of a vacuum. So empty the bag and replace with a new one and clean or replace the filter just before the motor. If the vacuum feels low still, then buy a new one. You could also just buy a new one, if the vacuum is more than 20 years old, and save all that labour.
When the vacuum is working well, vacuum the area with the red dust and most should come out. Use a stiff brush to loosen any residual dust and vacuum again. If the stain still persists, spray the area with a foam carpet cleaner and vacuum again. Spray again

If the carpet is as old as those in my BIL’s house (35 Years), then pay to replace the carpet. That dust is ‘baked’ in.
If there was mould in the home that’s been removed, there could be a lot of spores in the fibres of carpets, mattresses, curtains, upholstery, etc., but they can mostly be vacuumed up, though it’s best to use a vacuum with a HEPA filter so you catch all the spores that you suck up.
Spores can be laundered out of most washable fibres, clothing, bedding, etc.
A thorough vacuuming should get most of them out of carpet and upholstery and you can of course have carpet and upholstered furniture cleaned professionally. Any scatter or accent rugs that can be washed should be washed.

Walls and ceilings can be vacuumed and so can floors, attics, etc.
Mattresses are quite costly and if you’re truly worried that the mattress is full of spores, there are mattress covers which are basically huge fabric envelopes that are usually used to fight dust mites or bedbugs, that can be purchased to cover the mattress. Anything that’s on it will be sealed inside once the cover is on it.
But you can also vacuum a mattress, top, bottom and on all sides and that is going to remove most mould spores.
I have a severe mould allergy so I take it pretty seriously but I’ve never worried much about the mattress, which is normally covered by bedding, even when there has been a mould problem, which there was on occasion in my old apartment units, which had serious plumbing issues.
Only the spores that become airborne are going to bother people. I once opened a can of tea leaves that had become mouldy - the can bottom was rusty. No problem until I disturbed the tea and a big cloud of dark dust - mould spores- went flying. I managed to avoid inhaling most of that but I had to take extra antihistamines that day.
But if you vacuum thoroughly and launder anything that can be laundered and keep surfaces damp dusted, then you’ll get rid of most of the mould spores that are around.
Another thing you can do that’ll help prevent mould spores from outside taking up residence is use an indoor air filtration system. Hot air furnace filters can be very high efficiency but most home furnaces can’t use a HEPA filter, which puts too much stress on the fan, so they’re not perfect. Many choose to add a room air cleaner and that’ll help but they can be costly devices.
Turns out you can easily build a DIY air cleaner that works better than most of the machines you can buy and it’s dead simple to do it.
All you need are 5 MERV 13 air filters that are 20x20x1″ size and a 20x20 box fan and some packaging or duck tape.
Tape the filters together to make a box with one open side and that is where the fan goes. Tape your box of filters to the back of the fan itself.
Now you have an extremely efficient air cleaner that doesn’t cost all that much and the filters last longer in this type of device than in a forced air furnace, so you probably only have to replaced them every six months or so. Buy the filters by the case and you can save a significant amount of money per filter. Filters might run you a hundred bucks a year if you change them every 6 months and the fans are not wildly expensive - they’re cheaper than the fancier ones for sure. The MERV 13 filters by 3M will also catch and remove smoke particles, which could be very useful given all the wildfires.
Plug ’er in and let ’er run all the time and you’ll have much cleaner indoor air than what’s outside.
Bear in mind that mould spores need moisture to grow. They must have a constant source of water or very high humidity in order to grow. So long as the home is dry, mould can’t grow.
Sorry dear, your carpets will never look new again. What people don’t realize is that carpet fibers get packed down from walking on them. These are called traffic lanes.
Also, soil is abrasive. The individual fibers will be scratched and reflect light differently. Think of using steel wool on eyeglasses. Same thing.
Unless you are very wealthy, and can get your carpets replaced all the time, the best you can do is to get them clean. Look at the water that comes out, even if professionally done!

I can tell you more about cleaning carpets if you are interested. I used to have a cleaning company.
If you mean male ejaculation, semen, the correct spelling of that is cum. Semen is primarily made up of blood. It usually stains carpeting a black color.
If it has been a while and has dried and caused black colored spots
Is the black stuff a mastic glue or mold? Did the padding break down? I have not heard of wall to wall carpeting and its padding being glued to the floor, it is usually held down by a nail track at the outer edges of the room and by door jams. Robert’s suggestion will work on sticky padding without damaging the floor (hopefully the original floor is sealed and will not get stained.) DO NOT use any cleaner with ammonia in it because it will stain the wood dark very fast and it will not come off even if you sand the wood.)
My question to you: Are you sitting on your hands anxiously waiting for an answer so you can clean that gummy substance, or have you tried ANYTHING to clean that spot on your carpet??
If one thing doesn't work to clean, the TRY something else!!
Go from the least strong detergent or cleaner to the more aggressive detergent or cleaner/solvent.
At least ATTEMPT and discovering what works and what doesn't work!
Do you do this with EVERYTHING in your life? If you don't know how to do something, do you ALWAYS go running for help?
Can't you get help by searching for the answer online?
It would help to know

It would help to know what that gummy substance is, so the you would know how to clean the gummy spot in your carpet.
Since I don't know either, I cannot help you, but YOU need to take the initiative to be more reliant on yourself to solve your own problems, no matter how small they are, like this gummy patch on the carpet.
I associate gunk with extreme layers of dirt that have not been cleaned off for years. I have a relative who has 25 year old carpet, at least. It was beyond redemption. My wife and I still cleaned up the place as best we could. It was mostly the wood and tile we mopped out, but we did vacuum the carpet to remove some dust.
That carpet was beyond redemption, but our relative probably knew that.
I therefore suggest that you vacuum the carpet, until you can cut it out. Replace with a laminate floor, if you have to put something.

- Steam iron. For an entirely opposite approach, lay a clean cloth over the dent and steam heat with an iron. Do not place the iron directly on top of the carpet. Then, gently spoon up the fibers.
- Damp towel. For deeper dents, lay a moist hand towel over the dent. On medium heat, gently iron over the towel. The fibers will start to spring up under the heat. Leave the towel on the divot and remove when dry. Finally, vacuum over the affected carpet area so the fibers are sucked to maximum height.
- Blow dryer. You can also spritz any dents with water. Then, use a blow dryer to heat the affected areas. Use your fingers to brush up the fibers intermittently through the drying process.
There are several common methods used for carpet cleaning, each with its advantages and considerations. Here are some of the most prevalent methods:

Considerations: May not be as effective for heavily soiled carpets; some cleaning agents may leave residue. - Bonnet Cleaning:Process: A cleaning solution is applied to the carpet, and a rotary floor machine with an absorbent pad (bonnet) is used to absorb dirt.
Advantages: Quick drying time, suitable for routine maintenance.
Considerations: May not reach deep into the carpet fibers; primarily surface cleaning. - Encapsulation:Process: A cleaning solution is applied that encapsulates dirt particles, and then it's vacuumed or brushed away.
Advantages: Quick drying time, can be effective for routine cleaning.
Considerations: May not be as effective for deep cleaning; the quality of encapsulation products varies. - Shampooing:Process: A foamy shampoo is applied to the carpet, agitated, and then vacuumed up.
Advantages: Can be effective for heavy stains and high-traffic areas.
Considerations: May leave a residue, longer drying time. - Foam Cleaning:Process: A cleaning foam is applied to the carpet, agitated, and then vacuumed up.
Advantages: Low water usage, relatively quick drying time.
Considerations: May not be as effective for deep cleaning. - Spot Cleaning:Process: Targeted cleaning of specific stains or spots using appropriate cleaning agents.
Advantages: Effective for addressing isolated stains.
Considerations: Not suitable for overall carpet cleaning. - DIY Carpet Cleaners:Process: Rental or home carpet cleaning machines that use water and cleaning solutions to clean carpets.
Advantages: Cost-effective for small areas; convenient for routine maintenance.
Considerations: Results may vary based on machine quality and user proficiency.
The choice of method depends on factors such as the type and condition of the carpet, the level of soiling, and the desired outcome. It's essential to follow manufacturer recommendations and consider hiring professional services for deep cleaning at regular intervals.

- By carpet, I'm assuming you don't mean area rugs but just in case you did, machine wash small rugs. Large or non machine washable area rugs should be frequently vacuumed and after vacuuming the entire top surface area, lift the edge and slide the vacuum cleaner under it running around the entire outside perimeter. Usually 6 to 8 inches in from the edges of an area rug is all it's necessary to vacuum but if the regular vacuuming has been neglected you may need to carefully roll up the area rug and vacuum the entire floor area underneath.
- For installed carpeting, vacuum frequently to both reduce the dust and extend the life of your carpeting. If you've ever seen the floor underneath the padding and carpeting immediately after it's been removed, it's really dusty! Fine particles of dust get walked into the carpet and then down through even the padding if you do not remove dirt and dust by vacuuming before it gets worked down into and underneath the carpet. That dust also acts like a fine sand paper and “wears” carpet fibers. Depending on foot traffic, amount of dirt and dust being tracked in and frequency of vacuuming, you can expect up to a 10 or max 15 year life span for a high quality carpeting that's been well installed. It's more likely however that you will need to replace installed carpeting after 5 years or less if you don't want to be living with all that dust trapped in and underneath of it.

If you’re using a store-bought rug shampoo, follow the instructions on mixing and on how to clean a rug. You can also make your own cleaner by mixing a few squirts of liquid dish soap into a bucket of warm water.
Don’t use hot water as it could shrink and fade the rug. Test the solution in a small, inconspicuous area of the rug to make sure it’s colorfast.
If the colors don’t run, you’re ready to go.
Using a sponge or a soft-bristled cleaning brush, apply the cleaning solution to the rug and work it into a lather.
- Do not oversaturate the rug.
- Allow the cleaner to sit on the rug for 5 minutes.
- Use your garden hose to rinse the rug off.
- Use a wet/dry vacuum to remove as much water as possible from the rug.
- Leave the rug outdoors until it’s completely dry before returning the clean area rug to its place in the house.
You may need to flip it over and allow the rug to dry one side at a time.
Wondering how to clean a Persian rug? Take it to a professional. Persian rugs are expensive and you don’t want to ruin one with a DIY cleaning job. Spot-clean them only.
To remove stains from your rug:
- mix 1 teaspoon liquid dish soap
- 1 quart of warm water and 1 teaspoon of vinegar.
- Use a soft cloth to apply cleaner to the stain and blot gently.
- Don’t rub because you can cause the carpet fibers to mat.
- Let the solution remain on the spot for at least five minutes.
- Use a clean cloth dipped in water to rinse out the soap.
- Blot with a dry towel to dry.
