For the better part of 2006 I was working at Borders Books, and one customer certainly etched herself in my memory. It wasn’t that she’s rude or condescending - in fact she was incredibly nice to the staff.
It’s just that she’s a serial returner.
She would buy music CDs, and then two or three days later return them to exchange for another CDs. And she did it SO…MANY…TIMES! It came to a point that it became a weekly affair.
The interesting thing was that the store managers weren’t fussed about it. They let her be!
I wonder if she’s still doing that today, although CD stores are nowadays becoming obsolete…
