I met my wife online in 1998 when the internet was still relatively young. She lived in the Philippines, (I’m in the US) and we spent a lot of time talking on the phone. I don’t know why and it’s hard to explain, but I fell in love with her before I actually ever met her in person. She, on the other hand, just liked to talk. Not knowing this, I went over to the Philippines and met her in person, and through a minor miracle, she agreed to marry me. Accordingly, I went back to the US and got a fiance visa, and brought her here to the US, landing in Los Angeles on November 21, 1999. We were married 8 days later.

We are coming up on our 18th anniversary, and I feel truly blessed that this woman chose me to be her husband. We have 2 beautiful children, one of whom is now attending high school in the Philippines. The road has not been easy, and we have had our share of trials, but I have never stopped loving her.
