My question is… what have you heard??? Why wouldn’t they trust vaccines???

They are 99.999% safe. Not much in medicine is perfect. There are those very rare reactions. Aspirin has more of a chance of causing a reaction.

The questionnaire you fill out before getting your first vaccine will weed out those who are at risk for a reaction. All the over blown hype and lies circulating about the vaccines??? …is just that. People who need elective procedures and surgery… can’t because the hospital is over run with Covid patients.

The way to save yourself from severe infection or possible death??? Get vaccinated.

“How come people trust in covid vaccines?”

  1. Phase I, II, and III trial results, including 10s of thousands of people.
  2. Hundreds of millions of doses given all over the world.
  3. Reduced numbers of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths as vaccinations increase.
  4. Continuing high levels of deaths among those who are not vaccinated.

p.s., it’s even better than trust to understand that vaccination provides protection but doesn’t make you bullet proof. Masking and social distancing remain important.

As there is no other way for our survival, we have to depend on some vaccine & trust it , other wise we may not be in such a financial condition to spend lakhs of Rupees in private Hospitals who are sqeezing the blood of poor people in turmoil. This condition is there country wide. Hence getting vaccinated and get some relief both health wise and financially is better in my view. Let’s hope the best.

Only very few now need to be.

Herd immunity has been established in the United States, more or less.

Most are only being vaccinated with “boosters”, in much the same way as flu boosters, and for the same reasons.

Many “common colds”, even before SARS-CoV-1 in 2003 and SARS-CoV-2 in 2019, were and are coronaviruses.

That is the biological science you should have learned from the last global pandemic. But did not learn.

And now several are in bad condition among the 97% of covids hospitalized. This from around my little corner of the world?

  • Ever had smallpox? No? It used to kill thousands and now it does not kill anyone. It is gone because of vaccines.

I do this because I get my scientific information from scientists, not liars, fools or charlatans.

If you can get a vaccine and you don’t, it means that you do not care about the people in your life that you can kill because you won’t take a vaccine for hand wavey reasons. That is disgusting.

A fantastical “possibility” of some nebulous, nefarious, almost entirely debunked “lack of safety” is much, much, much, lower than the very real and very documented consequences of catching the actual virus.

It’s really not hard to understand unless you are already dedicated against it.

You see, in order to attract all of the capital and brilliant minds needed you'll need to remain at near the top of the class through that decade and graduate in the top several percent - and then have written a brilliant and ground-breaking oral dissertation (to earn that vital doctorate. Performing at that intellectual elite level for that long will require an aptitude that will make learning - while mindbendingly exhausting - at least 'natural'. The IQ test will determine if you have the IQ needed to compete at elite level in a STEM doctoral program. Somewhere upwards of 130 will give you a shot at accomplishing the prerequisite steps preparatory to the circa a decade the R&D for a vaccine (optimistically) will require.

If you were looking for a step-by-step instruction manual 'how to' guide for vaccine development? It won't - even stripped to virtual meaninglessness - fit in a quora response. The text that's introductory will run to a few hundred text heavy (with poly-syllabic vocab - and a steady stream of long organic chemical 'equations') pages.

Bottom line? If you have to ask how? Then you can't.

A real pandemic sweeps through all segments of the population and kills a lot of people. Covid, with an average fatality age in the mid 80s, does not fit the bill. Foisting an experimental vaccine on the entire population, even though the vast majority do not need it, would normally be called malpractice.

The most logical and fruitful avenue to pursue would have been comparison of nutrient levels between those who sail through & those who become very sick. There have only been small, ignored observational studies on vitamin D & Zn, and Se I think.(Vitamin A is an egregious omission.)

If the medical profession refuses to do the most basic, essential, obvious research, and then pushes high tech experimental vaccines on all of us, these are not the actions of a group that has my best interests at heart. Therefore I will not trust a vaccine for Covid-19.

Who is going to buy any of their pharmaceuticals once it gets out they produced a harmful vaccine. So they have a lot at stake to assure the product is safe and effective.

In addition, there are very strict manufacturing and testing processes that have to be met to assure the product is manufactured correctly.

The phase 1, 2, and 3 studies are reviewed by scientists who are top in their field. Not just in the US, but all around the world. If any of these reviews felt it was not safe and effective, you would be hearing about it.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared that it is monitoring 150+ potential Covid-19 vaccine candidates as of now. Among this, almost 130 are still under the ‘Preclinical Evaluation’ stage.

Surprisingly (or not), India’s homegrown vaccine candidate – Covaxin, the Bharat Biotech-ICMR product is not even under the purview of WHO. As it couldn't meet ‘certain’ attributes expected of ‘THE’ COVID Vaccine.

Oh, don't fret out!

'Preclinical Evaluation' simply means that these specimens are being still tested on animals.

Poor Animals, where are the World Wide Fund of the worlds?

And there are 3 Phases of trials that are required to be done after this stage.

Phase 1 - it's tested on very few 'healthy' people just to ascertain the properties and tolerability of the specimen.

Phase 2 - its administered on a larger section of the people to check if it boosts up the immunity of the receiver and also to check the risk involved with it.

So, you must be mumbling as it looks as if those poor Apes and the Phase 1 volunteers were mere dummies. Doctors, please enlighten us!

Phase 3 – many people. I mean a lot of people would have to volunteer here. Couldn’t get any other difference from Phase 2.

Luckily, 2 vaccine candidates namely – a one by a Chinese drug company (Ahem! Ahem!) Sinovac and the one by the British-Swedish company AstraZeneca have cleared the formality of the Phase 2 trials!

But let’s understand that these candidates have a very low chance of emerging as successful students. An analysis of all the vaccines under development between 1998 and 2009 points out to the grim fact that on average a vaccine took almost 10 years to enter the market after its Preclinical Evaluation. That too with a market entry probability of just 6%.

Much to your surprise, vaccines of even ‘common’ diseases such as Malaria, Tuberculosis, and Dengue haven’t been yet made and have been under development since 2007. (13 years, yet the game is still strong)

The only thing we can do is to follow the precautionary steps as instructed by the local authorities.

Stay Safe and Sane!

  4. We have no long term data re safety or durability of the vaccine.
  5. The short term data is revealing an alarming number and array of symptoms and deaths that are being dismissed as coincidental.
    1. Dividing adverse effect into types for each vaccine and say each type is rare for that vaccine is a ploy. Moreover, “rare” is a subjective term that is meaningless if it affect you or yours.
    2. Pontificating the the ‘benefit is worth the risk’ is an immoral dictate that ignores the risk to individuals in different demographics.
  6. The emergency use authorization (EUA) means the FDA does not do quality control inspections of manufacturing.
  7. Vaccine manufacturers have made millions of vials of their product which is ready to ship without having FDA approval or vetted data while the media pounds on the drums to rush this along. This is marketing, not medical science.

June 2022 Update: Since I wrote this answer over a year ago, much evidentiary data has sounded alarms even among formerly pro-vaccine doctors and scientists. However, the organizational commitment to the profitable magic-potion narrative has doubled down with marketing slogans not born out by real world data.

As of this time, it is recognized that heart problems from atrial fibrillation to myocarditis & pericarditis which both are causal for heart attacks are risks for all recipients with males under 30 being particularly vulnerable to sudden cardiac attacks (SCA). Blood clots, muscle wasting, and decidual casting are also documented in the medical literature, as are deaths by anaphylaxis which occurs at 100 times the rate for any other vaccine, and Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (CJD) which is admittedly more rare, but devastatingly fatal within months. Moreover, the evidence from multiple countries indicates that the “booster shot” actually significantly increases the risk of re-infection with Covid over that of the unvaccinated. Even quadrupled boosted public health and government advocates are now advising that everyone is destined to be infected with Covid multiple times regardless of precautions, a virus that has become more infectious but significantly less lethal regardless of vaccination status.

Most alarming, data from Pharma trials reveal that young children in the vaccinated arm were more likely to contract Covid and had more serious infections than those in the unvaccinated control. Moreover, the majority of trial participants dropped out of the trial after the first dose. Several FDA advisors objected to making decisions based on such small samples (less than 10 or 100 in some cases). Yet, based on small samples of participants and “antibody” results, the FDA approved vaccines for younger children with a lowered threshold for efficacy. Healthy children under 11 have essentially a zero risk of hospitalization or death from the virus.

In a related decision, the FDA gave a green light to Pharma to eliminate human trials for subsequent reformulations of the vaccine intended to address the rapidly evolving virus. Some advisors voiced concerns over pursuing vaccines for variants that would likely be burned out by the time the vaccine gets to market, but the majority of FDA advisors voted to hold the course set in 2020 and eliminate safety protocols in order to fast-track the newer versions of the Covid vaccines/boosters which may be recommended several times a year. They did this after being presented with CDC confirmation of vaccine-caused myocarditis among adolescents which resulted in at least one CDC-confirmed death in a young adolescent male. No one on the panel had any questions about this or any adverse effects.

Subsequent FOIA requests to the CDC revealed that the CDC is not following their own monitoring protocol for safety signals in VAERS data. There are over a million CDC vetted reports of injuries and tens of thousands of reports of deaths filed in VAERS for the Covid vaccine at this time, which is believed to be under reported by a factor of 40 or more.

Currently each country is evaluating the interim trial reports that companies heave produced. And if they receive a request from the pharmaceutical company the may issue an EUA ( Emergency Use Authorisation) to allow the company to use the vaccine in that country . The trials have limited age ranges so they can only be confident of the effectiveness of the vaccine against those who were involved in the trials. Those people who are very young or very old have a higher level of uncertainty regarding the effectiveness of the vaccine, although that is still at a very low level .

Vaccines are extremely effective at preventing the worst effects of the infection. Vaccines also drastically reduce the time needed for the body to fight and eliminate the virus, thus reducing the chances of further transmission to others.

Vaccines are extremely effective at preventing the worst effects of the infection. Vaccines also drastically reduce the time needed for the body to fight and eliminate the virus, thus reducing the chances of further transmission to others.

My son got infected twice, probably by two different variants, after he was vaccinated. In the first case he barely felt any symptoms. In the second case all he felt was a slight discomfort for a few days. Under the same waves of infection, too many non vaccinated people died. Including young, previously healthy ones.

Till now no vaccine manufacturer has claimed that their vaccine offers TOTAL protection, which implies there is a margin for results being seen NOT only expected lines. Even vaccines that were developed decades ago are not 100 % effective. The plus point here is that the infections after having receive the full dose of vaccines will be mild and not severe, may not require hospitalisation, ICU, etc.

Another reason is that response to the vaccines are not uniform due to individual body constitution. Past health history and lifestyle too have a role of play. Not adhering to the preventive measure

I feel only in very negligible instances the issue lies with the vaccine.

Well we need to understand it’s vaccine, it just gives a advantage of fighting the virus, its like a pre class of the fight which has to been done, this only give a advantage of know how of the situation but doesn’t mean it wins,

it’s just a boaster to immune system which doesn’t guarantee total protection just a shield.

I repeat its not anti dose which kills the virus completely.

“Should I trust the new vaccine?”

First decide if you trust the people who say the vaccine is safe and effective?

Many are scared of COVID and honestly if they want to take it I will never tell someone they shouldn’t. It was always the mandates and outrageous propaganda that I had a problem with. Like hiding the deadly side effects from the population.

Hopefully people are able to go outside of the US mainstream media to do their own research with regards to these shots. If they do so and still decide to get the shot it is their personal decision to do so.

Covid19 has not gone away & probably it never will: it will hang around like flu & the common cold. Note that the common cold itself is caused by upward of 200 species of rhinovirus, themselves part of the coronavirus family.

If you are old or otherwise frail, vaccination against Covid19 is very prudent. Even if it doesn’t prevent infection altogether, as it often will, it will make it far milder, even unnoticeable. A Covid booster reduces the risk of hospitalization by 50%-60%.
