When I was a kid a teacher called me and another student to her desk and told us that since we were sitting next to each other and our answers were exactly the same we would both fail the exam. I was shocked and upset. I didn't cheat. Why am I getting punished!? I think that is a stupid policy. Surely there is some other way, make them retake it or hand out different versions. It was 4th or 5th grade but still. I'm still angry about it to this day. As an aspiring teacher I won't be using that policy.
