Agile is having a profound impact at this time on the future direction of the project management profession and there’s a need to redefine what “project management” is if the project management profession is to continue to thrive in the future.
Purpose and Goals:
This space is intended for objective discussion of topics related to Agile Project Management. The goals are to help people:
- Learn how to blend Agile and traditional plan-driven project management in the right proportions to fit any situation and
- See these two seemingly disparate approaches in a fresh new perspective as complementary to each other rather than competitive
- Understand the impact of Agile on the project management profession and develop an appropriate career strategy to adapt to this transformation
I encourage everyone who participates in this space to keep an open and objective mind to get past the many stereotypes, myths, and misconceptions that exist about “Agile” and traditional plan-driven project management (what many people loosely call “Waterfall”).
