Presenting to you: ten weird habits of mine!
1) When I make a spelling or typo error on my computer or even my phone, I erase the whole word or phrase — sometimes the whole sentence. If I write a whole paragraph with one mistake in the opening line, I need to rewrite the whole paragraph again.
I only allow myself to correct my mistakes — not my device.
2) I run away from people’s pets. I literally run away…
Whether it’s this:
Or this:
3) I talk to myself before I go to sleep. It’d range from rambling about my favourite book to current affairs (albeit rarely, how about twice a year), making up my own stories, mimicking a conversation, reciting chunks of study material… it goes on. I just hope my parents wouldn’t come in to check on me and find me talking about unicorns.
4) I check my phone every minute if its right next to me, even if there’s nothing new. Right, I just put it back down.
No, I don’t own an iPhoneX.
5) I like to open a lot of tabs.
Yes, I can navigate my way through every one and no, it doesn’t bother me. In fact, it looks satisfying and I like it this way.
6) I use chopsticks to eat chips. I hate getting little crumbs of salt or seasoning on my fingers.
I think I’m going to puke.
7) My mom says I always have my mouth slightly opened and tongue in between my teeth when I’m concentrating. I rarely notice, but it’s weird. Somehow, my youngest brother (who’s five) also does the same.
Kind of like that, but not really.
8) When I pick out items I want to buy, I always pick the third one from the front — it’s cleaner and newer, I think.
9) I feel sorry for my neglected stuffed animals and end up cuddling them for hours.
In my childhood days I had close to a hundred stuffed animals lined up on a shelf in my room, and feeling sorry for leaving anyone out, I would sleep with a different one every night. They get all the attention they need for that night, because they have feelings too.
(These aren’t mine)
9) I stop for a few seconds when turning a corner because I’m afraid I might bump into someone. Or maybe I’m afraid of corners.
Like that one — you never know what’s on the other side.
10) I can’t press the ‘send’ button after I’m done going over through my content five times because I’m afraid that I missed out something. I need my friend to do that — or my sister’s fine too.
Oh no, the ‘submit’ button on Quora is drawing nearer.
