How much do bands cost to hire?

Literally anywhere from nothing (for neighborhood kids willing to play for the practice, exposure, and chance to meet girls) to a million dollars (for a big-name pop act with full stage show).

You are going to have to be more specific.

Overpaying on car insurance

You’ve heard it a million times before, but the average American family still overspends by $417/year on car insurance.

If you’ve been with the same insurer for years, chances are you are one of them.

Pull up Coverage.com, a free site that will compare prices for you, answer the questions on the page, and it will show you how much you could be saving.

That’s it. You’ll likely be saving a bunch of money. Here’s a link to give it a try.

Consistently being in debt

If you’ve got $10K+ in debt (credit cards…medical bills…anything really) you could use a debt relief program and potentially reduce by over 20%.

Here’s how to see if you qualify:

Head over to this Debt Relief comparison website here, then simply answer the questions to see if you qualify.

It’s as simple as that. You’ll likely end up paying less than you owed before and you could be debt free in as little as 2 years.

Missing out on free money to invest

It’s no secret that millionaires love investing, but for the rest of us, it can seem out of reach.

Times have changed. There are a number of investing platforms that will give you a bonus to open an account and get started. All you have to do is open the account and invest at least $25, and you could get up to $1000 in bonus.

Pretty sweet deal right? Here is a link to some of the best options.

Having bad credit

A low credit score can come back to bite you in so many ways in the future.

From that next rental application to getting approved for any type of loan or credit card, if you have a bad history with credit, the good news is you can fix it.

Head over to BankRate.com and answer a few questions to see if you qualify. It only takes a few minutes and could save you from a major upset down the line.

How to get started

Hope this helps! Here are the links to get started:

Have a separate savings account
Stop overpaying for car insurance
Finally get out of debt
Start investing with a free bonus
Fix your credit

I would rather suggest to give a chance to students or folks in your locality who are finding some stage to perform on.

Believe me they will give their 10000% as it's for themselves too !!!!! And not just money that matters!!!. That's where your job of finding a descent and dedicated band comes in. Spread a word and see who are ready to do anything to perform at your place. Some hard working band w

Don’t laugh but ask them exactly what they all will be wearing. I have been at weddings with the band or their leader dressed like bums.

Ask him if they plan to do any mc work. If so ask for the details to be sure you’re OK with them joking with the guests or whatever it is they include in between music.

Ask them if they play ethnic music and what is it i.e. Italian, Yiddish, Hispanic and whether you want that or not.

Remember this is your function, YOU are paying for it and you should get what you want.

How much have you got.

I know bands that will play for a bowl of chilli and a couple of beers.

On the other hand, I guess Taylor Swift might ask for a the thick end of a million dollars.

When booking bands for Scottish dance events in and around Edinburgh, I could expect to pay them…

Local gig Solo musician on off peak night 60–80 pounds, 100 if more than about 20 minutes drive to venue

Band on off peak-night 100 pounds a person for the evening

Friday/Saturday night. Add 50% and book well in advance.

That is with built up contacts, and co-ordinating set lists an appropriate degree in advance- days to weeks, depending on complexity. Without the contacts, add another 10% at least.

Depending on where you plan to organize your wedding there are ways to book a live band and/or a DJ for your wedding in India. If you are staying in urban parts of India, finding a band or DJ to play for your wedding. You can ask around your circle or even visit venues where they hire live bands and DJs to play. You will get an idea of the artist and decide for yourself if he fits in your bracket.
If you a from an area which is not exposed to the live band culture of the DJ culture you might want to inquire around your area if anyone you know has booked a lie band or a DJ and then get in touch

If all fails, artist these days have a facebook / instagram profile which you can look up and connect with them online before finally booking them.

One advise that I would give at this point is regardless of whom you book, kindly make sure that the artist can cater to your guests demands and they play the kind of music that will work on the guest.

All the best!

Of course you just have to know your ring size and check in the stores or jewelries website for promotions. Stores have a lot of sales during the year and sometimes are better in store.

If you’re in the US, I recommend checking out gigmasters.com. They have a good list of performers and are arranged geographically. Enter “wedding bands” and your locality, and you get a description of the performers and prices.

I think it would be fun to hire a local band whose members go to the local high school or university. If anything, it would be memorable, haha!

But for an experienced band, depending on the duration, you can expect rates to range from $650–$10,000

Ask the bands you are interested in hiring. Charges vary hugely depending on how many members are in the band, how many instruments they play, how well known they are, how long they will be expected to play…

You can place an ad that you are looking, go to a local talent agency and ask or go to a venue that the band is playing at and try to talk to them about playing for your wedding. Remember, they more than likely will have a set fee and all members of the band and crew will need to be included in your # of meals needed.

Profile photo for Jackie Webster

Ask around for recommendations. Live bands will cost more than hiring a DJ and will need to have breaks during their ‘sets’ so will probably play recorded music duro g that time. They will have a limited ‘set time’ and may not be able to play specific songs your guests may request. You will also have to provide them with food & drinks.
