Firstly I assume you know who it is.

You have several ways:-

Write him a letter and explain what you know and tell him your date of birth and explain that you do not blame him seeing he did not know you exist and that you would like to meet and wait till or if he replies. It will certainly be a shock to him.

Meet him and not tell him and get to know him and then break the news to him.

Ring him up and tell him your news

You should offer to have a DNA test

Of course you should know some of the details surrounding your conception, where, when etc.

You have not told us whether your parents were married and divorced OR you are the result of an affair or a one night stand but I am assuming that was not the case as you know who it is.

When he meets you, you may look like him and that may convince him but certainly offer him a DNA test.

Good luck and I hope he accepts you with open arms but he may not take the shock well.
