Enlightenment itself has never had stages. The concepts of enlightenment and the so-called ‘paths to enlightenment’ seem to have stages.

Those who appear to be masters or enlightenment ‘guides’ are naturally restricted to communicating with words and concepts, to human ‘minds.” And minds are subject-object-based machines that can only think in terms of cause-&-effect and ‘progress’ over ‘time.’ Even though there is no subject or object. Even though there is no cause or effect. Even though there is no ‘time.’

Enlightenment is not an event that happens to a ‘individual’ who is a currently a ‘separate entity’ from God or Being, and then, over time & numerous ‘individual births,’ attains ‘re-unification’ with That. “We” are already, inseparably one with That, so much so that there isn’t really even a “we,” or “you” or “me”…just That ,a Singularity, pure Energy.

So enlightenment is already “our’ natural and only existence. Since this illusory separate “we” can’t become what we already are, nor needs to, and since there isn’t really a separate “you” or “me” in the first place - no separate “somebody” to ‘become’ That which it already is - obviously, there could be no real ‘stages’ or ‘states.’ All that is in the dream of ‘separateness.’

Stages are fine…in the dream. One ‘human’ defining a ‘path’ to ‘enlightenment’ to another ‘human, in terms of time, progress and stages is fine…in the dream.

Awakened from the dream, there is no “you,” no time, no stages and no enlightenment.
