I can laugh about it. I was set up on the date by an acquaintance (son’s girlfriend’s mom). We met at the zoo and walked around. He talked about his ex-wife non-stop. He told me how he didn’t want the divorce, and he had to force her to take stuff in the settlement, etc. By the time we got back to our vehicles, I had about had it. I told him that it was nice meeting him as I headed to my car, but he walked with me and said that he really wanted to take me to dinner. I remember looking at him at asking “Really?” He repeated that he really wanted to take me to dinner, so I figure, what the heck, and got into his pick-up. On the way to dinner, he drove passed the ex’s house and pointed it out to me! The only time he stopped talking about his ex, was when I mentioned that I bought a new lawn mower; that, he was interested in. After dinner, and he was driving me back to my car, he told me that I was so easy to talk to. Once he stopped his truck, I said “good-bye” and leaped out of his truck. He actually called me the next day for another date! I politely told him that he wasn’t over his ex and that he shouldn’t be dating yet.
