I started studying for FRM after clearing Levels 1 to 3 of CFA. I observed that FRM requires a different kind of mindset and with 100 questions in 4 hours in Level 1 and 80 questions in 4 hours in Level 2, don’t consider this easy by any means.

I was able to pass both Levels in one go in May 2019. Here is my advice.

  1. Develop good reading habits and use a study provider like Wiley or Schweser if you are working and short of time.
  2. Take a strong Video Lectures package. I used MidhaFin. Micky is a great teacher and reallly explains the topics with a clarity that helps you solidify your concepts. You will need strong conceptual understanding for this exam.
  3. Use lots of practice with questions. Not many question banks but choose someone who offers 2000 questions for each level of FRM.
  4. Give some time before exams to revise as well.

Wish you all the best for your FRM exams!
