George Washington has no direct descendants. While there is no direct evidence it is likely that George was infertile. Since his wife had successfully delivered two children from a prior marriage and was still of child bearing age when they married, contraception was imperfect at best during those times and George and Martha had a well known physical and sexual attraction for each other. Also George was 27 when married and to all reports did not come to that union a virgin. His estate was left to his wife for her life and then to his brothers descendants.
