I was in a Supermarket here in Peterborough, and was stood at the delicatessen counter, to buy some cooked meats. The sole sales assistant was slicing meats and oblivious to my presence there, watching her. She finished slicing a whole ham then as she proceeded to pick up the slices she was distracted and dropped the whole tray of sliced meat on the floor. Unperturbed by this mishap she proceeded to pick up the meat from the floor and return it to the tray. I presumed that this would be disposed of, but no she carried this tray to the counter and placed it amongst the other cooked meats for sale.

I walked away having lost my appetite for cooked meats.
