While they’ve had their fair share of ‘fights’ and disagreements in the beginning, they’ve always gravitated toward each other and formed one of the strongest bonds within BTS. They went to the same school and now attend online university together as well. Taehyung’s 2014 tweet saying that ‘let’s keep going for a long time I only have you’ posted along with a picture of his and Jimin’s intertwined hands in definitely proof of how important this friendship was and is to them, especially since Jimin added a tweet saying that instead of for a long time, lets make it forever, or something along those lines.

During Festa 2019 Taehyung said that he can safely say that Jimin is his one and only best friend while earlier this year Jimin said that he ‘wouldn’t mind’ if Taehyung would stay his only such close same age friend and how important their friendship is, how they don’t need words to communicate since just looking into each others eyes is enough and how, once they start talking, in general or about each other, they can keep going forever. When Taehyung’s song Winter Bear was released last summer Jimin was the biggest cheerleader and spoke about it in a lot of his vlives at the time, even saying that usually he doesn’t like sharing his friends or songs he likes with other since he can get quite possessive . Guess the same also applied to Winter Bear and Taehyung.

Also, the idea for their song Friends came from Jimin, since he composed the music, helped produce it, and was one of the writers of the lyrics. The song itself reminisces about their years of friendship and all their dearest memories, as well as, once again, reminding everyone that they are indeed soulmates and wish to stay by each others sides even after their career as BTS will be over.
