My experience at Placewit was just life-changing!

  • Before joining Placewit, I had a basic knowledge of coding, but my problem-solving abilities were not that good. I wasn't able to develop an approach for various coding problems. After completion of the course, as there were live classes every day, practice questions every day, contests every week, I practiced a lot of questions which helped me a lot to solve difficult coding problems during placements.
  • I used to enjoy the teaching style of my instructors. I was able to get everything they taught us. They started teaching from scratch and went to the pro level. There won’t be any problem understanding if someone at Placewit is a beginner too.
  • The class environment was very healthy and competitive. We used to have discussions in the class about various coding problems. Instructors used to ask ideas from students, resulting in getting knowledge of different approaches for a particular coding problem. After the class, me and my friends used to solve a lot of problems on Leetcode, Codeforces, Codechef, etc. So the overall environment was pretty amazing. After the class, I used to solve a lot of questions with my friends (we were a group of 5-6 students, mostly from Placewit). We had a lot of approaches to solve a problem. We used to teach different concepts if we got to know about a new concept from any website or any source. Due to this, our motivation to solve more problems was very constant. We used to grow together, which helped all of us a lot to become good programmers.
  • Initially, I had a fear of communication in interviews. Our mentors used to take our mock interviews regularly. They used to guide me about my weaknesses and how I can tackle that during interviews. As a result of the mock interviews, I had no fear of interviews before the starting off placement season in my college.
  • Every aspect of placements was covered in mock interviews. Initially, mentors only focused on the coding part and how to answer the HR questions. Later on, mentors focused on everything including my resume, coding, communication skills, cs fundamentals, and core subjects. We used to get regular feedback from the mentors and we used to work on it. So, I was confident enough to crack a good placement before the beginning of my placement season.
  • In my 3rd year, even my resume was almost blank, as I didn't have many projects and coding skills to show up. After learning with my instructors for 6 months, I had a lot of things to add to my resume, including projects covered in the class. I also had a lot of ranks to add on, which I achieved in coding contests. My resume improved a lot after the course.

Achieving my Dream company, Google:

I will definitely give credit to Placewit for making me a perfect candidate for a good company. Including my own hard work and friend’s support, guidance from mentors and instructors, I was able to crack Google at my first attempt itself.

Recommendation for juniors:

I’ll definitely recommend my friends, juniors, and anyone who wants to get a proper path and guidance for placements, to join Placewit. The only thing that is expected from a student is sincerity, hard work, and consistency. Throughout your journey, you will get proper guidance, your mocks will be conducted regularly, mentors will be available for you whenever you will need them. You will get a proper path, proper mentorship, everything that a student needs, but you also have to work hard to chase your dream company.

All the best for your placements : )
