The Battle is not lost. You can lose weight after 40.

So how?

You need to reduce your caloric intake and burn more energy. It is the only way out. Calories in and calories out. You should also exercise to build up a lean body mass.

To lose weight after 40 years of age you need to give special attention to your metabolism and the way you eat.

First you should know that appetite is not something you can fight. In fact, it is a survival mechanism which allows you to stay alive. You have to learn how to control your appetite, not try to fight it.

Certain foods can help boost your insulin production and thus your metabolism. Bitter leaf is considered a great tonic and can boost your metabolism by a huge margin. It also goes well with almost all other herbs.

You want to lose weight after 40 is a tough question because after 40, a woman's metabolism is slowing down. When you have just turned 40, your metabolism is declining at a rate of 3% a decade. You may not feel it, but it's happening. And after 40 , it may start happening even faster.

I think I can be of help here as I have tried various ways of losing weight, but it wasn't until I lost 75 pounds that I realized which approaches are the best and actually work! My success was mainly due to researching and knowing the basics of how certain things affect the body. I am always looking for more effective ways to lose weight and this is what I did to lose over 70 pounds.
