Don’t wait like I did. Go ahead and start using these money secrets today!
1. Cancel Your Car Insurance
You might not even realize it, but your car insurance company is probably overcharging you. In fact, they’re kind of counting on you not noticing. Luckily, this problem is easy to fix.
Don’t waste your time browsing insurance sites for a better deal. A company called Insurify shows you all your options at once — people who do this save up to $996 per year.
If you tell them a bit about yourself and your vehicle, they’ll send you personalized quotes so you can compare them and find the best one for you.
Tired of overpaying for car insurance? It takes just five minutes to compare your options with Insurify and see how much you could save on car insurance.
2. Ask This Company to Get a Big Chunk of Your Debt Forgiven
A company called National Debt Relief could convince your lenders to simply get rid of a big chunk of what you owe. No bankruptcy, no loans — you don’t even need to have good credit.
If you owe at least $10,000 in unsecured debt (credit card debt, personal loans, medical bills, etc.), National Debt Relief’s experts will build you a monthly payment plan. As your payments add up, they negotiate with your creditors to reduce the amount you owe. You then pay off the rest in a lump sum.
On average, you could become debt-free within 24 to 48 months. It takes less than a minute to sign up and see how much debt you could get rid of.
3. You Can Become a Real Estate Investor for as Little as $10
Take a look at some of the world’s wealthiest people. What do they have in common? Many invest in large private real estate deals. And here’s the thing: There’s no reason you can’t, too — for as little as $10.
An investment called the Fundrise Flagship Fund lets you get started in the world of real estate by giving you access to a low-cost, diversified portfolio of private real estate. The best part? You don’t have to be the landlord. The Flagship Fund does all the heavy lifting.
With an initial investment as low as $10, your money will be invested in the Fund, which already owns more than $1 billion worth of real estate around the country, from apartment complexes to the thriving housing rental market to larger last-mile e-commerce logistics centers.
Want to invest more? Many investors choose to invest $1,000 or more. This is a Fund that can fit any type of investor’s needs. Once invested, you can track your performance from your phone and watch as properties are acquired, improved, and operated. As properties generate cash flow, you could earn money through quarterly dividend payments. And over time, you could earn money off the potential appreciation of the properties.
So if you want to get started in the world of real-estate investing, it takes just a few minutes to sign up and create an account with the Fundrise Flagship Fund.
This is a paid advertisement. Carefully consider the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses of the Fundrise Real Estate Fund before investing. This and other information can be found in the Fund’s prospectus. Read them carefully before investing.
4. Get Up to $50,000 From This Company

Totally worth it.
5. Get Up to $300 Just for Setting Up Direct Deposit With This Account
If you bank at a traditional brick-and-mortar bank, your money probably isn’t growing much (c’mon, 0.40% is basically nothing).
But there’s good news: With SoFi Checking and Savings (member FDIC), you stand to gain up to a hefty 3.80% APY on savings when you set up a direct deposit or have $5,000 or more in Qualifying Deposits and 0.50% APY on checking balances — savings APY is 10 times more than the national average.
Right now, a direct deposit of at least $1K not only sets you up for higher returns but also brings you closer to earning up to a $300 welcome bonus (terms apply).
You can easily deposit checks via your phone’s camera, transfer funds, and get customer service via chat or phone call. There are no account fees, no monthly fees and no overdraft fees. And your money is FDIC insured (up to $3M of additional FDIC insurance through the SoFi Insured Deposit Program).

It's easy to pick a band that fits your musical tastes and is affordable on these kinds of sites. They offer booking security and guarantee quality which is very important and will give you peace of mind come wedding day.
There are quite a few perks of having a live band instead of a DJ including:
- The unbeatable visual and audio experience of musicians performing live
- Live wedding bands can cover very specific musical themes or cover a wide range of music to suit everyone
- Live bands usually excel at crowd interaction and keeping dancefloors full
- A live wedding band brings a touch of exclusivity and uniqueness to any wedding
- First dances performed by a live band can sound amazing and highly personal
- Wedding bands can tailor setlists including first dances just for you
- Live wedding bands will sometimes let you or your friends perform with them
- Live wedding bands can fit into most wedding venues
- Wedding bands can add or remove musicians to adapt exactly to the theme of your wedding
- Some live wedding bands can offer DJ services
- Live wedding bands are made up of professional musicians meaning you can leave them to sort the entertainment side of your wedding
- They can perform throughout your wedding day and evening, inside and outside
- You can usually use their PA system for speeches etc
There's a few other things id point out too.
Wedding theme
If you are looking for authentic musical entertainment that complements your wedding theme, live wedding bands are hard to beat. If for example, your wedding theme is the stylish 1920s, there are loads of fantastic bands out there that look and sound the part. A DJ can't enhance the look, sound and feel of a wedding like a live band can.
Do you even need a DJ?
Some live wedding bands offer full, professional DJ services in between their sets and late into the night to save you money and keep the party going. Many wedding bands will offer it for free. It could solve your dilemma and save you money.
A different type of wedding band
For clients who are struggling to pick between a DJ and live wedding band we and other wedding entertainment websites have acts that fuse DJ’ing with live music. These kinds of bands could be perfect for you as they have all the best attributes of a live wedding band and fuse it with all the best aspects of a DJ.
For me, it's simple though. Live music has a special place in everyone's hearts. Why do we all still love to see the Rolling Stones or Coldplay perform? It’s not just the music, it’s the whole atmosphere they create. The huge trend of old bands reuniting has been fuelled by a desire from the masses to see them live once again, to see a visual and sonic show that can’t be beaten or replicated by anyone, not even DJ’s.
Yes, why not? Movies leave a better impact on us if they have a good soundtrack. Then don’t you think the special event that your wedding is will be far more unforgettable if accompanied by live music?
Get a band that plays light, mainstream songs. Give them a setlist if you have one in advance so that you can have your favorite songs played live. You can even ask them to play certain songs at certain points in the function, songs that fit the mood then. Bands at a wedding usually have a playlist ready for the occasion. Even as a DJ, I’ll concede that guests may be more impressed when they walk in and see a 5-piece or 7-piece band rather than a single DJ standing behind a table or a facade.
That being said, there are plenty of high-end DJs who put on a really good presentation and have a slick looking setup. They really can be just as impressive as a band, if not better. But depending on where you’re getting married, there may or may not be very many options in the area… and if those high-end DJs are already booked, the idea of a live band might become more appealing than “settling” for whatever cheaper, less-polished DJs are still available for your wedding date.
Now, I’ll argue the DJ’s side of things: a DJ, even a high-end DJ, is usually going to be cheaper because most DJs work alone, or maybe bring one assistant. If you get a band, you’re paying and feeding all the members of the band, and some bands also bring a “roadie” to set up / tear down all of the equipment, cables, etc.
Bands get tired, and sometimes take breaks between sets. Bands can only play the songs they know well through lots of rehearsing. If you have a lot of specific song requests that the band doesn’t know, they might charge you extra for the hours they’ll need to rehearse the song prior to your wedding. Some bands do a great job with certain genres of music, and might just be “so-so” at other types of music. If the band has only one lead singer, you might get tired of hearing the same person singing every single song all night.
By contrast, the DJ can play music non-stop, they can play whatever songs you want (if you request anything they don’t already have, they can just buy and download those). Even if the DJ needs to step away for a few minutes to use the restroom or something, the music can keep playing. And you’ll hear the actual songs by the original artists, rather than one or two people doing covers of all those songs.

Here is a top ten from Rolling Stone magazine from a poll of concert goers.
1. Bruce Springsteen
Springsteen has always brought nearly superhuman levels of energy to his shows, but his current Wrecking Ball tour stands as one of his greatest and most thrilling. (It even featured the longest Springsteen show ever – four hours and six minutes, in Helsinki, Finland, on July 31, 2012.) For more shows, Springsteen shreds the pre-planned setlist and collects request-bearing signs from the crowd, leading the band in impromptu renditions of covers by everybody from The Ramones to Jackie Wilson. “I don’t look at the setlist very much during the night,” he recently told Rolling Stone‘s David Fricke. “I’m listening to the song we’re playing – it’s talking to me about what to play next. And I’m watching the audience. Sometimes it’s the look in someone’s eyes about how bad they want to hear that song they’ve written on a piece of cardboard or their head.”
Showstopper: Each night’s highlight is different – a beautiful thing with Springsteen shows.
Greatest Guitarists: Bruce Springsteen
2. Prince
He’s never sounded better, his band 3rd Eye Girl is fire-hot and he’s plundering his back catalog with a vengeance; check the Youtube clips of his grunge-blues remake of “Let’s Go Crazy.” “He’s a better guitarist than you are,” says Cliff Burnstein of Q Prime Managment. “He’s a better singer than you are. He can dance better than you. His songs are better than yours. You might have a better jump shot, though.”
Showstopper: “Purple Rain,” especially when Prince launches into the epic guitar solo. Or another one. Prince can make the building collapse with any song if he feels like it.
3. The Rolling Stones
After a five-year break, the Stones swaggered back last year, playing rarities (“Factory Girl”), fan requests (“Memory Motel,”) and a stretch of absolute classics (“Tumbling Dice,” “Honky Tonk Women”), proving they’re still the world’s greatest rock & roll band. “Everyone was trying to get the band really on,” Mick Jagger said late last year. “We wanted to put the music out in a good way, not just be flash.”
Showstopper: The recent tour included a superfan dream come to life: Mick Taylor joining the Stones on the blues epic “Midnight Rambler,” conjuring ’72-era magic all over again.
Greatest Artists: The Rolling Stones
4. Arcade Fire
The Montreal band has proven that emotionally apocalyptic indie rock can be as grand as U2 without losing any of its chaotic intensity. They’ve barely played live since owning the 2011 Grammy Awards, and they have a new album nearly in the can (due late October), which may include music produced with James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem. This, plus word on a secret Montreal hometown show last winter, suggests their shows may be even more of a communal dance party than usual.
Showstopper: Usually the glorious “whoa-oh-oh-oh” emo-glam-rock singalong of “Wake Up,” from their 2004 debut Funeral.
5. Neil Young
By some miracle, Young’s singing voice and guitar playing is undiminished from his Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere days forty-plus years ago. Whether he’s playing with Crosby, Stills and Nash, Crazy Horse or completely solo acoustic, he pours every bit of himself into his stage show. “We learned almost everything we know from him,” says Tegan Quin of Tegan and Sara. “I hope one day to have even half his stage presence and catalog.”
Showstopper: Many shows on his ongoing world tour with Crazy Horse conclude with a twenty-minute rendition of “Like a Hurricane” that rocks like, well, you know.
6. Jay Z
With a live band keeping him on the toes of his fresh Louis boat shoes, the only predictable thing about a Jay Z show is you won’t see the same one twice. “He makes a real personal connection with the audience at every show. “There is an inclusive aspect to the show that is exhilarating,” says Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy. “He’ll go down as a legend, on par with the Beatlesand the Stones.”
Showstopper: The raucous “99 Problems” thunders like a Zeppelinthrowdown – and on Jay’s Legends of the Summer tour, Justin Timberlakehandles the cranky cop’s lines.
Greatest Albums: The Blueprint
7. Radiohead
Radiohead are the only band in rock that can leave nearly every hit song out of the setlist, and still see 20,000 fans walk out of an arena happy. They refuse to rest on nostalgia, and since their new work is every bit as strong as the classics, it doesn’t matter.
Showstopper: They rarely get through a concert without a blistering rendition of their ice-flow disco masterpiece “Idioteque.”
Best Songs of the 2000s: “Idioteque”
8. Jack White
Live, White will break out songs from his whole career, including cuts by White Stripes, the Raconteurs and the Dead Weather. Fans still miss Meg White on drums, but the old material sounds amazing fleshed out by a complete band, bassist and all.
Showstopper: The version of “Seven Nation Army” he plays at the end of most shows makes the original seem limp by comparison.
New Immortals: The White Stripes
9. Rage Against the Machine
They haven’t released a note of new music this century, but their three-album catalog represents rap-rock at it’s absolute best. Their rare shows these days prove that every band that followed in their wake is a pale imitator. “I’ve never seen the kind of audience unity that I’ve seen at Rage shows,” says Lars Ulrich. “I saw them a couple years ago and it felt like there 75,000 people ready to fuck some next-level shit up.”
Showstopper: “Bulls on Parade” manages to whip a crowd into a psychotic, violent frenzy like no rock song ever written.
Best Albums of the Nineties: Rage Against the Machine
10. My Morning Jacket
They’re the quintessential 21st century rock & roll psychedelic band, fusing decades of rock history into exploratory jams and anthems, while peppering every set with excellent covers (the Stones’ “Waiting On a Friend,” Velvet Underground‘s “Oh, Sweet Nuthin'”), and covers of covers (the Band‘s version of Marvin Gaye‘s “Don’t Do It”). “They’re amazing,” says Brittany Howard. “Every song could be their big, set-closing song. Just an epic band.”
Showstopper: The ominous sludge of frontman Jim James’ strumless guitar intro to “Victory Dance.”

India is known to be a diverse country with a rich culture and heritage, where Indian weddings are supposed to be greatly blessed with distinct cultures from different religions that have their form of music to celebrate with, making a wedding memorable. Indian weddings are expectable where happiness resonates with immense emotions, and pleasure is derived from music while dancing and singing with the family. This is why, in my personal opinion, having the best wedding music band is of top priority. And that band happens to be the Master Band.

The famous Master Band which is the choice of millions offers visit services as a wedding band service provider in Delhi and has maintained its position with facilities that cover all sorts of celebrations and offer a once-in-a-lifetime dream come true. There are a load of reasons you should book a live band for your wedding. I’ve listed what I think are the key reasons after performing in such bands for 15 years worldwide.

Wedding bands come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and this means you can pick a live band that suits your musical tastes or wedding theme down to a tee. Wedding bands really do appear in all musical forms and because they dress accordingly too, they really do look the part. Even if you want wedding entertainment that spans all genres, eras and tastes, multi-genre wedding bands can do that. There will always be a wedding band out there for you.
Some wedding entertainment out there can demonstrate great crowd interaction skills but nothing quite beats a live bands ability to get your dancefloor pumping, that wedding venue or wedding barn bouncing and you and your guests shouting/screaming/singing song lyrics at the top of your voice until late into the night. Just like the best live acts at Glastonbury, live wedding bands know how to get a wedding crowd going wild and enjoying themselves.
Also, unless you prefer the original song to be played over the PA system, I can't think of a more romantic, more personalised way to celebrate your marriage and your first dance as a married couple than by having a live band perform it for you.
Weddings can be stressful too, so why not bring some experts in who can plan and coordinate of all your wedding entertainment needs so you have one less thing to organise and worry about? Like all ours do, wedding bands usually bring everything to your wedding that’s needed to perform to the max. Relax and enjoy your wedding, live bands know what they are doing.
Lastly, wedding bands can morph from full-on live acts into intimate acoustic acts at the drop of a hat. From Folk to Rock in the blink of an eye. This means, that unlike pretty much any other wedding entertainment out there, they can perform for you all day, during any part of your wedding, whether its inside or outside.
Look up ‘event entertainment’, ‘talent agency’ or similar searches on Google. (Obviously, include your location. If you live in a small town, regional acts will come play but the fee will include travel expense. And of course, any fee also includes the Agency’s percentage.)
I think a good band will make your event more memorable than a DJ, but a good DJ will have all the current music & obvious classic ‘hits’ that are fine/expected for dancing, plus DJ’s are usually very comfortable with the various cheesy ‘emcee’ announcing duties that come with working a wedding reception.

The best wedding receptions I ever attended as a guest:
1. A big swing jazz band (at least 10–15 musicians) playing all of the classic American Pop Standards
2. A ‘James Brown’ type of band, very high-energy rock band plus a horn section.
(You would have to have some serious money for either type of ensemble!)
Another common choice is to have a solo musician or small combo play during the cocktail hour/dinner, and then have a DJ for the dancing and MC portion of the evening. (I’ve been a cocktail hour musician many times, playing events where a DJ takes over after my work is done.)
Yes! As a wedding DJ I can (and have) destroy a band. Here is why:
- I have an unlimited song choice. If a song is on a record label it is available to me and I can play it. A band on the other hand can’t not play songs they don’t know.
- I can separate songs into 4 or more parts and play parts of each one simultaneously. A band can’t do this, especially on the fly in real-time.
- I can do all kinds of effects with digital music (I have 42 sound effects). A band is extremely limited with sound effects.

- I don’t need to do sound checks when I am done setting up. The band must do sound checks to make sure all the instruments can be heard.
- Bands cost more. At least a good band.
The list goes on and on.
In the ““old days” - the 60’s thru the 90’s, most wedding bands (and most bands in general) actually learned and fully memorized their songs - words, chords, and arrangements.. Those that didn’t might have maybe a keyboard player who used a “Fake Book” to lead the band, and the other members would follow along.
Now many - maybe even most - live wedding bands use iPads, or similar type tablets on stage for words and chords, and don’t fully memorize their material. So I think the word “still” in the question is kind of misused. Most wedding bands didn’t use sheet music years ago, but many use ele

My husband and I hired the band that played at our friends’ wedding.
They found the band through sheer luck. They were eating dinner at a restaurant that was also hosting a wedding where this band was playing. She loved the music, and just walked into the reception and started dancing! She was asked to leave, of course, and she said, “I’ll leave if I can have the contact information for the band.” She got the contact info, left, and later booked the band for her and her partner’s wedding.

One thing I really appreciated about them was that they weren’t too loud. I’ve been to so many weddings where the band or DJ cranks the volume to 11 so people can’t have conversations. During their sets, if you wanted to dance, you danced, and if you wanted to sit and chat with family and friends, you could actually do so without yelling.
I have always preferred white gold 18K plain with bevelled edge.
As to the entertainment I would imagine there are hundreds of great musicians who play at weddings.
Being British having live music at a wedding apart from the organist and choir in the church is unusual. We always have DJ’s who play great cheesy music.
Even celebrities engage a cheesy DJ, somebody who is a reasonably famous British TV actress insisted on “It Must Be Love” by Madness for the first waltz.

If the wedding is in classical atmosphere, I recommend Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March” or Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus.”
If it’s more modern and casual, how about these?
Queen “I was born to love you”
Alicia Keys “Fallin”
Nickelback “Never Gonna Be Alone”

It’s wonderful to have live music - especially if f you get a great one that can play music that will please older folks as well as the younger crowd. It’s classy, fun and you can’t beat the vibe - more people will get up and dance.
The reason most people get a DJ and play recorded music is cost. A live band is very expensive.

Weddings for the most part are a pain in the ass to play. High maintenance wedding planners…nervous mother in laws, pushy father in laws…all usually know nothing about hiring musicians and treating them with any respect. Then…you find a band you like…agree on a price and then someone in the wedding party wants to start dictating what songs they wanna hear after the fact. I’ve been there…many times. You do a soon to be newly wed a favor…and verbally agree on what, how the band will do…will be treated and the newly hired wedding planner comes in and changes everything. The band still has to load

You do a soon to be newly wed a favor…and verbally agree on what, how the band will do…will be treated and the newly hired wedding planner comes in and changes everything. The band still has to load up, load in…be there before the guests arrive…it turns out it’s not a 2–3 hour event….the day ends up being a 7–9 hour day of schlepping the gear in and out of wherever and dealing with drunks that wanna sit in and play FreeBird or Mustang Sally…If you have a favorite band you like…they live locally. You like what they play…their sound…their tunes. Hire ‘em. Shoot straight with them and feed ’em when dinner can be served. I’ve worked for contractors around here…You’ll see their ads wherever the topic of wedding stuff is advertised. These guys will charge 3–8 times the going rate…and pocket most of the dough. The band will be basically a pick up band of individuals that don’t usually play together and will wade through the arrangements with guys they’ve never played with before in lots of cases and could be great players and singers…stuck in the local casual scene wherever you like and wish they were on the road doing their own original material instead of playing cover tunes and the latest whoever favorite tunes of the mother in law or the brides maid….Good luck. Find a great local band you like and pay them good money for doing a tough job.

In my opinion, yes, a band does make a reception more memorable instead of a DJ. The “master of ceremonies” DJ performances that have become standard of late are way over-done. The DJ has become the central focus and is now the one who sets the agenda for the entire reception. I’m even encountering DJs now who ignore the couple’s playlist and do whatever they want. Even an amateur band has more appeal to me.

Ensure that the artists perform well and you can begin a new phase of life. It’s important to know that the band members know how to perform at weddings and it’s time to find the right band. Finally, you can plan your wedding successfully and it brings in a better feel.
What music is good for weddings?
Well, for the reception, maybe Dave Edmund’s “I Knew the Bride When She Used to Rock and Roll.” It may not work as a hymn during the ceremony in certain cases, however.
I’ve never seen a wedding band player - or any band player that isn’t orchestral or symphonic or part of the pit or something - use sheet music.
I’ve played in a bunch of bands, wedding, tribute and cover bands included, and we never used sheet music.
You can guarantee that at least a few of us were using charts though - if that’s what you mean, then yes.
Experience the thrill of live entertainment like never before! From electrifying concerts and vibrant festivals to stand-up comedy and theatrical performances, there's something for everyone. Feel the energy, connect with the crowd, and make unforgettable memories. Whether you're a music lover, comedy fan, or culture enthusiast, live entertainment brings joy and excitement to every moment. Don’t miss out!
The J. Geils band is infinitely better live than on record.
Twisted Sister is incredible live. Their studio albums don’t even come close to how they are on stage.
The Blue Oyster Cult’s Donald “Buck Dharma” Roeser is better on stage than on record…and on record, he ain’t too shabby.
I never saw The Who live, but if Live at Leeds and the live footage I’ve seen of them are any indication, I’d say they were better live than on record, or at least as good.
A live band can fade in and fade out much more smoothly than a DJ, stretch or condense a specific piece if the processional / recessional goes too slowly or too fast, probably knows the songs that you want and can offer specific suggestions that match the mood / genre, have performed at more ceremonies than a DJ because DJs usually focus on the reception not the ceremony (for a DJ, a ceremony is an inconvenience because most DJs want to show their personalities, and DJs have to have two complete sets of equipment to quickly move from ceremony to reception).
I’d get Descendents to play at my wedding. Their music is fast and loud enough for mosh pits, but they also have a sensitive side in their lyrics. I think it would work.
And they have a song called Marriage.
Generally they will have a playlist and audition recording. You look at what they play, listen and decide if they are right for your event. You can ask them for references and read any online ones as well.
My dream wedding would have a full symphony orchestra, but yours might not!
If certain songs are really important for the first dance, the bride dancing w/ her dad, and certain ethnic songs and so on, make sure to hire a band who plays them and also plays them the way you want them.

Although it is comparing apples to oranges, they can. I’ve have DJed many weddings where people actually get upset when the band comes back on, since they prefer the DJ play instead! Now I have to admit this was likely due to the band only playing one type of music and not doing it particularly well, or maybe I had the party rockin’?
Although there’s simply nothing like the “live” sound you get from a live band, remember that really good bands that play cover songs are hard to find- as it is very difficult to emulate songs that were recorded, engineered, and produced in million dollar studios a

Although there’s simply nothing like the “live” sound you get from a live band, remember that really good bands that play cover songs are hard to find- as it is very difficult to emulate songs that were recorded, engineered, and produced in million dollar studios as are most hit records a DJ would play.
Also keep in mind one way a DJ could be considered “better,” is that they have NO limits- that is they can play any genre at their disposal (these days if not on their hard drive they can also stream anything you want from Spotify, YouTube, etc.). Bands are good but will not have this ability- and even if they did, most would not do it well simply as a matter of practicality (that is they are limited in the sound they can reproduce by their abilities, song knowledge, available gear, etc.). Bands can simply only scratch the surface of certain popular songs they know.
Whereas a DJ has endless possibilities as to WHAT they can play, and if they are one of the good ones- also has a repertoire of MC skills that can take the party to the next level of entertainment for the wedding couple and guests (using party favors, games, contests, and more).
Yet another way DJs come out on top, is not just their ability to play any and all music available, but remember they can go on for many more hours uninterrupted without tiring- especially when you feed them like most couples do. Bands are pretty limited in their scope to rock the party- especially for long periods of 6–8 hours; vocals chords get strained, and the band members will get physically tired of standing playing songs after a while.
Simply put, DJs just bring much more to the table when compared to bands- so unless the band is out of this world- I would highly recommend hiring a good wedding DJ over an “ok” band any day.
