The most atrocious food I've ever had is Stinky Tofu (@Stinky tofu), which is a fermented piece of Tofu served in a soup along with some vegetables:

It smells like rotten garbage, and tastes even worse.
My Taiwanese friend who shared a bit of it with me swears it's the most delicious food on Earth... Go figure!

Now I'll share some of the exquisite dishes from my country!

In Brazil we eat a lot of Chicken Heart, which might seem disgusting for people from other countries. I find it beyond delicious. We usually have them roasted in skewers at barbecues, but you can also deep-fry them with batter, or put them in pizzas or sandwiches. Some pictures for your delight:

Every Friday night, my mom used to make a delicious dinner for our family, with some meat that tasted awesome but I had no clue what it was.

One day I made the mistake of asking. It was Cow Tongue.
I never ate it anymore, but nowadays it's still my sister's favorite dish (she's over 18).

This is my family's signature dish. We used to gather the whole family at my grandparents' house to eat it every Sunday.

Behold the Ox Tail Soup!

Last but not least, Brazil's national dish is
Feijoada.
It's a stew made with black beans and various meats from pork and beef.
There are some lighter versions, but if you order the full Feijoada, you'll be dismayed to find that some of the ingredients are:

  • Pig nose
  • Pig tail
  • Pig feet

One of the side dishes (in the pic above shown at the 7 o'clock position) is fried pig skin (Torresmo).

To finish it up, in the video you can see a guy eating
Goat Eyes.
It's quite popular in the poorest regions in the Northeast.

Around 10:40 in this one you can see how to prepare them:
