I encountered an older woman who was collecting recyclables out of several trash dumpsters. She wasn't having very much luck and her shopping cart was fairly empty. It was late in the morning so she deduced that someone had already beaten her to any valuable discards. Feeling sorry for her, I decided to help her out with five dollars, although I only budget myself with twenty dollars a day to live within my means. We engaged in light conversation and she appeared to be quite jovial, despite her predicament. The next day while I was out walking in another part of the city, I found a five-dollar bill on the sidewalk.
