It happened in 1995. A group of friends moved from one country to another employment in the same company. Our Company authorized us to find our own accommodation as the company township was getting delayed. I agreed with my close friend to find two flats in the same building, so that our families and children can get along their friendship in this country also. We both together started searching for flats and rejected many good offers as they were only one flat was available.

After more than 15 days, he informed me that he found a brand new flat and he would move with other friends who also got rental flats in the same building. I was left alone due to non availability of vacant one for me.

I felt deceived and even a ” sorry” was not said for having missed many single flats for two flars in a single building. I was worried that my family might have to find new friends and live away from their known friends.

Within a few days, I found a suitable flat within our budget and 5 minutes of walking to get the company transport.We moved in and found the new accommodation very comfortable and all facilities available around the area.

Now the Karma's play started.

In a week, the landlord refused to honour the rental agrrements signed by the four other friends including my “close" friend.

They were in desperate situation to find accommodation as their families were about to move in from their home towns in India. NOTHING WAS FOUND SUITABLE WITHIN THE BUDGET AND AREA convenient to board the company transportation to the plant which us 90 km away.

I discussed with my Landlord for four flats . Luckily they were available for occupation with in a few days in the same building where I am staying with my family.

Next one week I and family were busy in helping them to move and settle in the flats of our building.

That was the instant karma. One stage they left me in lurch but soon they had to consider my friendship as valuable.

However our friendship never faltered and grew stronger.
