First, I want to define what a strong personality means to me: these are the people who know who they are, what they want, and aren’t afraid to march to the beat of their own drum. Their self worth comes from within, not from what people think. They follow some internal compass. They surround themselves with good people, the kind of people who are better than them at something, that they can learn from. They are not afraid to ask questions if they don’t know the answer.

So, from my perspective, people don’t like them because they are afraid of them. They are afraid of someone who is not part of the flock. They are afraid of someone who can be unpredictable. They are afraid of someone who cannot be controlled. They are afraid their own hidden inadequacies will be found out.

I feel like I’ve painted a poor picture of those who do not like strong personalities! That’s not my intention. They aren’t bad people; just a different mindset, with a different approach to life, and neither is better or worse - just different.
