Airborne!!!!. I retired at 54 and just goofed off for a few years. We have a local law school here and one day I went over there to the law library. I asked to see the Contracts case book. That book was a lot different from 40 years ago when I got out of the Army in 1971. Then I went back to grad school in Sociology.
I also saw all the young, eager, nimble law students running around the library. That is when I decided I was no threat to the state bar association. I recommend the following:
1. Get the case books on the various subjects and see if you can follow them.
2. Here are some books: Law School Confidential: A Complete Guide to the Law School Experience: By Students, for Students by Robert H. Miller
1l of a Ride: A Well-traveled Professor's Roadmap to Success in the First Year of Law School (Career Guides) by Andrew McClurg
Don't Go To Law School (Unless): A Law Professor's Inside Guide to Maximizing Opportunity and Minimizing Risk by Paul Campos
And Law School for Dummies and The Paper Chase.
