I think kids just “naturally” know that their parents love them. Mine was the time they spent with me. We didn't have a lot of money, but we always had our Sunday afternoon rides out in the country. We would just skip rocks over the lakes or walk the natural trails. We visited museums, which I absolutely loved. I still do this with a friend of mine. Both my parents showed us kids, how to sew, cook, plant flowers/ vegetables, drive vehicles and practice religion. We all gathered together at the end of the day and got our nightly hugs and kisses. That was pretty special, I think. I have two (2) brothers and we still greet/leave one another with hugs and kisses.
